Clarke's POV:
I am going out to find some more medicine. We are running low on seaweed and these idiots keep cutting themselves. I sneak out of the camp through a hole in the fence over by the dropship. You only know it is there if you are looking for it. I can't go out the main gates because Bellamy won't let me leave by myself. He will make some idiot, who doesn't even know what it looks like, come with me. I won't even be gone for long so it's not like anything will happen to me. I have my knife just in case something does anyway.
I head in the direction of the river where we found the seaweed before. Once I get there I walk into the water so I am about waist deep. The water is freezing, but we need this seaweed. It is my job to keep everyone alive and they can't survive without medicine. There is the snapping sound of twigs behind me. At first I just let it slide, but it starts getting closer. Then it stops and I go back to what I am doing. When I turn around to leave there is a grounder standing on the beach waiting for me. I have no way to get out and if he comes in the water I am definitely dead. I don't know how to swim. Unfortunately there are no pools or lakes in the middle of space. I stand there frozen, not out of fear, I was trying to come up with a plan. I couldn't think of anything. The direction I have to go in is where he is standing. I can't turn around and go the other way because the water gets deeper and I won't be able to walk. I slowly get my knife out of my pocket and hide it up my sleeve. I throw my bag over my shoulder and begin to walk out of the water. I keep my eyes on the grounder looking for any movement. He just stands there like a statue. Maybe he won't hurt me. Maybe he is just waiting for me to get out so he can wash up. After what feels like an eternity I finally reach the soft sand and get out of the water. It's even colder now with the wind blowing on me while I'm soaking wet. The water is dripping off of me turning the dry sand into mud. I don't take my eyes of the grounder as I walk away. I walk in the direction of camp. Once I get past the grounder I look slightly over my shoulder to make sure he is still there. He is gone. There are only two footprints from where he was standing. The only proof someone else was there. Panic fills me as I turn back around. I keep telling myself to be brave. I can protect myself, I am fine. I just have to get back to camp. I walk into the woods and all I can see are trees in every direction. He must have gone back to his tribe, I'm fine. The next thing I know... everything goes black. One month later
Bellamy's POV:
Clarke has been gone for a month. One full month without my princess. The others have lost hope that she is still alive, But I know her. She is strong, brave, and can survive anything. We found her pack a while ago over by the river. That's how we knew she was taken. She wouldn't just drop it and run off. I didn't even know she had left camp. I should have kept a better eye on her. I could have gone with her. I should have protected her.
"Bellamy!" Miller yells pulling me out of my thoughts. I walk over to the gate where he is standing. "What is it Miller?" I ask the annoyance clear in my voice. "We think we heard something." It could be Clarke, I immediately think. "Open the gate!" I yell while grabbing a gun. I loop up and no one is moving, "Now!" The gate slowly opens and I run outside. I hear someone moving in front of me. I slowly move forward with my gun held high. I spot blonde hair. I would know that hair anywhere. It is the hair of the one and only princess. "Clarke?" She whips around at the sound of my voice. "Bellamy" she sighs my name like she missed me. She runs to me and tackles me with a hug. I don't hesitate to wrap my arms around her small waist. "We missed you around here princess, where have you been?" She pulls away and looks up at me. It isn't until then that I fully take her in. She has cuts all over her face. One of her sparkling blues eyes is black and blue. She is bleeding from a cut on her arm and she has bruises going up and down her arms. There are finger marks on her neck. Her clothes are stained with blood and who knows what other injuries there are. "I'm fine Bellamy. Don't worry about me." She tells me but it doesn't sound too convincing. Her voice sounds tired and drained. If I wasn't right in front of her I might not have heard anything she said. "Princess" I start but then she collapses. I catch her small body before it hits the ground. She is as light as a feather and I can feel her bones. I wonder when it was she last ate.
I bring her into the dropship and grab Octavia along the way. She is the only other one, besides Clarke, who would know what to do. "Oh my god." She says once she sees Clarke. I lay her down on a table for O to examine her. She makes me go wait outside. It took a while for her to get me to agree but eventually I did. I wasn't helping Clarke by arguing with Octavia. I sit on the ground outside the dropship and wait for O to come get me.
After what feels like hours she finally comes to get me. "You can come see her now. She isn't up yet though. She was bleeding from her head. She must have gotten hit there and that's what made her collapse. She also seems as though she was starved and dehydrated." It hurts me to think of Clarke being tortured. "She has cuts and bruises all over. It took a while to stitch her up, don't let her ruin my hard work." She says trying to add some humor into the situation. Octavia leaves me and Clarke alone. I sit down next to her and hold her small hand in mine. She looks so beautiful and peaceful sleeping. She turns her head to mine and opens her eyes. "It's about time you woke up there princess. You scared me collapsing like that. Don't do that again." She laughs but then cringes from pain. "I don't plan on it." She says smiling. "Were you really worried about me?" "Of course princess. I'm in love with you. Always have been always will be." A small smile appears on her face as she sits up and kisses me.
