I sat talking to Alaric, when he asked" you've been awfully quite lately"

" Being kidnapped by vampires does that to you, I guess" I shrugged sipping my tea and he sighed." If you want to talk about it, I am here"

" I know but there's nothing to talk about" I told him.

" I didn't realize Izzy was joining us" Jenna said making herself known and I smiled.

" Actually, I was just leaving, I have a thing to go to" I left them alone as quickly I could and made a run for it. I managed to get outside, but stopped when I realized, I didn't know which way to go." Great" I mumbled.

I had Ric take me home after Jenna left and I sat in my room, bored out of my mind.

I groaned as I followed Ric into the tea party Mrs. Lockwood was hosting for a fundraiser and I heard Rick chuckle." Why do I have to go?" I asked.

" Someone has to distract Jenna"

" But still..." I whined and he took my hand." I'll make sure you don't somehow manage to stab yourself, or someone else with -" he was cut off by me hitting him in the arm.

"Ouch, It's not my fault your not party safe" I hit him in the arm again and Jenna laughed as she walked over to us." Who takes a blind girl to a pool for a her birthday?"

" Hey, she wanted to go" he defended and I glared before rolling my eyes.

Jenna pulled me away laughing" So, tell me, what is the worst birthday incident you've experienced besides your 4th?" she asked and sighed." That would be my....10th birthday, he took me camping, my tent got set on fire, completely his fault"

" Wow" she laughed and I joined in." he also tried to help me fish, I hit him in the head with the fishing pole" She just laughed more.

" Jenna, do you mind if I steal Aislinn away from you?" I heard Elijah ask, I didn't here her response so she must have nodded while trying to stop her laughter, because Elijah led me away from her." Tell me Aislinn, what do you remember about the fire that killed your parents?" he asked

" Not much" I mumbled." My dad had just put me to bed and it was my 4th birthday, so I was allowed to stay up later then usual. I heard a noise down stairs and went to look but the flames had already started. I had called for my parents but they didn't respond. I had gone back into my room and hid under my bed. That's when the ashes and fumes got in my eyes. My last sight was someone walking through the flames toward me. The police found me the next morning in the front yard, my parents were found in the living room, the police ruled it suicide, and that's about it" I explained

" Interesting" he mumbled.

" There are to many parties in this town" I cried as Ric led me into the Boarding house. I went into the kitchen to help Jenna who gave me the safe job of sitting there quietly and not touching anything. I went into the living room where Ric was talking to Damon and sat down." Jenna already kick you of the kitchen, Izzy" Rick joked

" No, I was bored" I sighed just as the doorbell rang. Ric led me into the hallway where Damon was talking to who I'm guessing was John Gilbert." you must be Izzy" he told me and I smiled.

" Is Jenna in the room" I asked and Ric answered" nope"

" Good" I smiled before throwing a punch in the direction John's voice had come from. I felt my fist collide with a face and thanked the universe when I heard him hit the floor." That's for nearly killing me"

I walked down the hallway using the wall as a guide and went into the living room. Elijah arrived and we sat down to eat. They started talking about boring history stuff and I kept getting a bad feeling from John. When we were finished, I put in my headphones and sat in the living room humming along but jumped when my headphones were pulled out." Hey" I cried

" Dessert" Ric told me and I sighed before following him into the dinning room. I sat down and Damon started taunting John which Elijah responded to by saying." Gentleman, there are a few things we should probably get clear right now. I allow you to live solely to keep an eye on Elena. I allow Elena to remain in her house. Allowing Elena to live her life with her friends as she does, is a courtesy, if you become a liability, I'll take her and Aislinn away from you and you'll never see them again." I accidently knocked over my glass in shock and I heard Damon sigh.

" I hate parties" I mumbled just before I heard Elijah cry out in pain.

Third Person POV

Izzy lay asleep in her bed after Ric dropped her off to go see Jenna. The door opened silently and a shadow fell over Izzy." Thank you for inviting me in Aislinn" Elijah sighed pulling the blanket further over her." I will return for you soon" he told her and turned to leave but stopped when Izzy's eyes opened and she frowned." Elijah?" She mumbled confused and he smiled before compelling her." You will not remember this moment or that you invited me in, but know that you will always be watched over, Aislinn Gregory-Saltzman. Now, sleep" he told her and her eyes closed.
