" You know, I can name several other things that I could be doing right now" I told Elijah as I followed him down the street. " Helping you with your brother was not on that list."

" Come now, Aislinn, I'm sure you wanted a trip through New Orleans at some point." Klaus told me.

" Not really, I prefer places where I'm less likely to be eaten while walking down the street." I told him and I heard him laugh before an arm was wrapped around my shoulder." Don't worry, if things go as we planned no one will ever touch you, that is if they wish to keep their spines ."

" Wonderful." I said sarcastically." Now, why am I even here?"

" Klaus bit someone, they require your assistance" Elijah told me and I made a face. " Again? Can't you keep your fangs to yourself, I only have so much blood."

" Apologies, love, it was the only way to prove a point to that someone. We won't be long, brother." Klaus called out leading me up a set of stairs and I crossed my arms in annoyance when I heard someone ask." Who's this?"

" Your wasting time by asking questions, where's your dying friend?" I asked and the guy led me to him. I sat next to him and held my wrist to his lips. " Drink, you'll feel better soon." I told him as Klaus talked with Marcel about staying for a while and I frowned.

Once we were back outside and out of earshot of Marcel and his vampires, Klaus explained that I had a choice. I could either come with him to New Orleans, or stay in Mystic Falls with everyone else.

A few days later, I sat listening to music when Caroline and Matt came outside and started talking about cap and gowns, which she had ordered for everyone. " You didn't have to do that." I told her.

" Well, we've all been busy." Caroline told me and I smiled at her before they went inside to talk to Rebekah. After a few minutes I got bored and went inside just as Caroline was leaving." Hey, do you mind dropping me off?" I asked following after her.

" Yeah, my cars over here." She told me before unlocking the car but when she didn't get in, I frowned." Caroline?" I called out but there was response.

" I can't believe it, she ditched me."

I made a face as I threw a stack of envelopes on the table. " Wow, Aislinn, I didn't know your family was so...huge" Caroline told me.

" Yeah, but I know that none of them are going to show up since none of them wanted a thing to do with me when my parents died, especially the witch side of my family; But here's hoping, right." I said but she didn't respond as I carefully wrapped the two stacks in separate bundles before shoving them into my purse.

" Now, I'm gonna go home, eat a whole container of ice cream and think about the difficult choice I have to make about my future." I said as I pulled out my walking stick and left Caroline to talk to a rage filled Elena.

Several hours later, I sat in the apartment rolling a lump of clay between my hands while the others went to find out why the weather was acting so crazy when something weird happened; the darkness parted from my vision and everything came into focus causing me to suddenly drop the clay.

" Oh my god" I cried blinking and looking down at my hands in shock before I quickly picked up the clay and went outside, my eyes taking in the town of Mystic Falls. I looked up and a smile crossed my face at the sight of the stars above me.

I walked the memorized steps to the school where the others had said they were going to be looking for Bonnie but as I reached the school, I saw a man with short brown hair walking toward me." Aislinn" He greeted and a tears filled my eyes.

" Ric" I grinned before running toward him and hugging him with all my might. " Why...why can I see you, or at all for that matter?"

" Bonnie dropped the veil to the other side, so everyone who died that was supernatural is walking around, but your eyes, I guess that's just something that the spell added in."

" It's not fair" I said and he sighed. " It never is." He told me before pulling away.

Alaric left to find Damon, and I went to find the others.

It was time to see just who exactly my strange friends were.
