---Having three similar looking faces glare at you, is not something you would see everyday. But for me? I see it way too many times to keep count. And today is another one.
After parking the the truck, Axel ran inside of the school after yelling a quick good-bye. Since, I was 20 minutes late for class, I thought 'one day wouldn't hurt' and with that thought, I turned the ignition back on and headed straight home.
Yes, I skipped school and went home.
So, here I am laying upside down with my feet hanging over the couch, watching t.v without a care in the world. I reach for another slice of pizza - that I ordered right after I got home - and take a huge bite. Battle is laying down in front of the couch, most likely sleeping. Him and his lazy ass.
An hour or so of watching re-runs, I hear the front door slam open. I would of jumped in a fright but I stop short when I hear shouting, for me.
Shit.
"Sapphire!" Argent screams.
"Your so fucking dead!" Scarlett roars and slams the door close, causing the walls to shake a little.
I quickly jump off the couch but accidentally knock over my soda can, spilling the content onto the floor. Shit. Mom is gonna kill me. Battle lifts his head up but then falls back to sleep. Lazy ass.
If we were to be robbed, Battle wouldn't even bat an eye. He would probably just scare off the robber with his massive size and all he would need to do is lift his head.
"Well, if it isn't our dear baby sister," a voice snarls from the door way. I whip my body around and see all three of my sisters wearing the same angry face.
I nervously laugh, "yeah and your favorite."
Scarlett scoffs and they simultaneously fold their arms across their chest, trying to intimidate me. Which is working quite well.
"Did you forget that we all share the same car?!" Argent sneers, and I visibly gulp.
Shit. It totally slipped my mind that I have three sisters and that we share the truck. Yeah, its not something to easily forget but in my defense I had just finish eating. Usually after eating or stuffing my face, I tend to forget things. And this time I forgot my sisters.
"Sorry, its ju--" Scarlett cuts me off.
"Sorry?! Sapphire, you made us wait for you. Then when you didn't show up or answer your phone, we got so worried."
If I wasn't so scared of what these three can do to me, I would of rolled my eyes. So I settle with a different approach.
"Look, I had a crappy day and sorry for forgetting you guys but hopefully it won't happen again." I play the 'bad day' card. On some occasions I get away with it but that only happens on my good days.
And I guess today is one of those days.
"You are forgiven however there shall not be a repeat of this, clear?" Lilac speaks up and her gaze softens. Scarlett and Argent does the same.
One of the perks of being the youngest is that they all have a soft spot when it comes to me. Including Mom.
I eagerly nod my head, "question though. How'd y'all get home?"
Scarlett dumps her duffel by the entrance and flops down onto the couch. "Axel gave us a ride."
I settle down onto the one seater next to Scarlett. Meanwhile Argent and Lilac sits with Scarlett.
