The Past Can Never Be Hidden

The beginning

~~~~~~~~~~~~Blades POV~~~~~~~~~~ 

"WAKE UP!!" Rose screams as she jumps on my bed, trying to tickle me.  

"Rose. What the hell. " i mumble, sitting up.  

"Time for hell silly. " she says as she pokes my nose and leaves my room. I stand up and look at my batman pajama pants. Weird right? Most guys wear boxers to bed. But i have Rose to wake me up daily, and its kinda awkward. No matter what i do to my door, she gets in. It sucks. My sister doesnt fail to wake me up every morning with that, but i love her. I mean, who gets a sister that likes the exact same bands and clothes as you? Its pretty epic.  

I go to my dresser, grabbing a pair of black skinny jeans and a Asking Alexandria shirt. Hey, they may be old but they're my favorite band. I go to the mirror hanging on my door and heat up my straightener. Pulling my hair perfectly straight i spray in some hairspray. With my hand shaking, i put on a line of eyeliner. Perfect. My mother starts yelling through the house, "We're leaving!" I grab my backpack and jump in the car. My mother asks me "Where is Rose?!? We're gonna be late AGAIN and the school's gonna call. " Rose runs out, opening her mouth to say something about me getting the front, but decides against it.  

In minutes we're at the school, running in. The lady in the front office motions for us to run straight to class. My mother sits in the office talking to her.

"Hunter, why does she bring us here so early? We have to wait a half hour until we MIGHT even see Rose." I complain 

"And Blade. Well its simple. Shes mom." Hunter said hopefully.  

~~~~~~~~3rd person POV~~~~~~~~~ 

"You can NEVER be on time can you?" the red head with the pixie cut asks her 

"Nimue, when have i EVER been on time?" Their mother replies 

They laugh and a few minutes later Blade and Rose's mother just says "Well, work is calling." And she leaves.

~~~~~~~~~~Onyx Again~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Yeah... I guess." I say and walk to my first block class. Me and Rose have science first block. Well, Rose has exactly all the same classes with me. Im so happy shes not a River Otter. Then I would never see her... Ms. Citorik is amazing. She brings us donuts and cake. She always says that Rose is just like her mother. My mother was a River Otter, not a Sea Otter though. I sit down and watch the rest of the class file in. I look for my red headed best friend, but she isn't here yet. I hope she comes... The bell rings as she slides through the door and into her seat next to me. I smile and quickly hide it before she sees. I don't want to ruin our friendship... I couldn't handle that. She pulls a green metal water bottle from her bag and takes a drink. She hands it to me and mouths Monster. I nod and take a sip. The class goes by and we go to break.

We walk around looking for Blade and Hunter. They come up behind us and give us chocolate milk and bagels. We go to our spot, sitting by the entrance to the gym and the auditorium in the lobby.

Blade asks, "What are we gonna do tonight?"

"We could go to the graveyard." I suggest.

"Can we not?" Rose asks, "We have to go see Ginger at the library."

Hunter rolls his eyes. "Yes we'll do that. Why don't we just go home and then there, and hang out until it closes? Then go home until 1:30 and then we'll meet at the graveyard?"

I pull my sleeves over my hands and throw my hand up. "I vote for that!"

"Okay so its settled. Onyx, wanna write some notes because I know Rose and Hunter wont be able to remember?" Blade asks, looking down.

"Sure..." I say poking his belly. The bell rings and we all go to class. The rest of the day goes by in a blur. Rose falls asleep in Math and I daze off. Getting on the bus to go home something's not right. I look and see Blade sitting across from Hunter. He looks up and his eyes are green with gold. Hmm. I sit with him and motion for Rose to sit with Hunter. She nods and does as I ask. I sigh and look at Blade.

"Is everything ok?" I ask him, afraid of the answer.

"Yeah. Hunter's just a little sad and he wanted to sit with Rose today. I don't mind. That means I get to sit with YOU!!!" he says and squeezes me. I nod as a yawn. I quickly fall asleep, far before the bus even pulls out.

When I wake up, I'm in my bed. Fucking creepy. I stand up and walk to my mirror. I fix my make up and walk out to my living room. There sits Blade.

"What are you doing here?" I say and I fall down next to him.

"You fell asleep on the bus, so I brought you inside. Hunter went to my house." He says and smiles. I walk up to him and give him a hug. "

"You're so nice. I love you." I mumble while squeezing him. He hugs me back and I pull away. He looks at me for a minute and opens his mouth to say something but quickly doesn't.

"Okay.... What time is it?" I ask.

"Well it's about time to go to the library. If your ready.... and stuffs...."

"Yeah I'm good. Let's go before Rose and Hunter get pissy." I say as I grab my IPod off the counter and ran out the door. "Hey Blade... Race you!" I yell and run. I crash though the door and Blade trips through after me.

"Fuck!.." he laughs and hugs my waist. Ginger's head immediately snaps over to us. She smiles and runs over to see us, tripping along the way. Blade lets go of my waist as she reaches us.

"Finally! How long can you sleep for?!" Ginger exclaims.

"Just long enough to bug you." I tell her.

"Well, Rose and Hunter are downstairs. Head on down" We run down the stairs. As soon as they see us, they start talking.

"Oh look, Sleeping Beauty finally woke up." Hunter said

"Why, yes yes. She's even with her Beast." Rose replied.

"Shut up guys." Blade murmured.  "It's 4:30. The library's gonna close in a half hour."

Rose reaches around the table and picks up a bag from Kamuda's. She pulls out a blue Monster, two Shirley Temple's, and a white Monster. She looks at us saying "From the jar money. We have like... $2 left now."

"That's ok. Mom will give us money soon and then we can get more." I say

"Does anybody have the stuff?" Hunter asks quietly. Me and him look at Blade and Rose, knowing their mother and ours drink at their house. Rose pulls out a old green tin water bttle and taps it. She mouths "Vodka." We all smile and me and her go to the bathroom. We pour a Shirley temple in.

"So... Rose... I have something to tell you..." She says.. hesitantly

"What is it?.... You didn't sleep with my brother.... right?" I look at her, scared.

She laughs. "No hun, I didn't sleep with your brother. Why would I do that?"

"I dunno... I was just making sure. You better not ever fucking sleep with my brother... Whore!" I laugh  and hug her.

"I never would. ever. just eww!!!" she yells.
