Noah's POV

Great, I think, I'm getting bumped down in my job and dad's going to flip! If he finds out I’m dead. And I can't believe Sasha would do something like that, I mean come on, I only forgot to hug and kiss her this morning, its not like I dumped her, but her being her, dumped me and got my job, and I got hers. I actually think she might have done that on purpose, but whatever, now I have to find another girl by the end of the year, or practically die, and I can't believe she wasn't the one. Ugh, this is so frustrating. So here I am walking out of McDonalds when I bump into someone and they fall.

"Ouch!' a girl says, as she hits the floor. As the gentleman I am, I hold out my hand for her to grab and pull herself up.

"Sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going." I say quickly. I feel her grab my hand, and I feel sparks, as she lifts herself up. As I look at her I notice how gorgeous she, and can't stop staring at her. I think she might be my mate. 'MATE!!' my wolf howls, and my assumptions are correct. Its love at first sight.

"Umm, i-its o-okay, it was my fault anyways, I-I was just trying to catch up with my f-friends." She stutters for some reason, glad she got me out of my stance.

"Ok then, my names Noah by the way, umm, what's your?” I ask curiously, wanting to find out the name of my precious mate.

"Oh umm, my names Jade." she says slowly, "and nice to meet you Noah, but I have to get my friends and then leave." She starts walking away and my wolf howls, 'Make her stop!' as my face clouds with sadness but I cover it up quickly.

"Umm, wait, how about I buy you something it’s the least I can do." I say smiling, hoping she'd stop and say yes. She nods and walks over to the counter and orders a medium soda and a sundae. I pay for the food and we walk over to a table.

"Thank, by the way, for ya know, buying this for me." She exclaims happily and she looks up to my eyes and gets lost in them for a bit, until she clears her throat and screams slightly.

"Jade, there you are, we thought you left without us!" a girl a Jade's age says in relief. Then she notices me and looks between Jade and I.

"I'm Noah, nice to meet you..." I mention, waiting to see who she was and why she interrupted my conversation with Jade.

"Oh, I’m Isabelle, nice to meet you Noah, but Jade here, has to drive another 17 hours, so we kind of want to get going, and sorry for interrupting your conversation!" She says smiling, almost like she read my thoughts. Jade rolls her eyes and throws her trash away, then looks into my eyes.

"Isabelle, Kate, I'll meet you in the car, okay?" She says quickly, in her beautiful voice. "Umm, Noah, it was nice meeting, you but I really need to get going." Her face falls as she says those words. She starts to walks away and i start panicking, not wanting her to leave my side.

"Jade, wait, I like you!" I blurt, "so can I at least get your number?" I ask hopefully, waiting for an answer. Jade blushes and grabs a napkin. Taking a pen out of her purse she writes her number and hands it to me. I do the same and give it to her. I am secretly happy she has given me here number. "Thank," I declare, "I call you sometime!"

"Ok, well, bye." She announces, pulls me in a hug and leaves quickly. I just stand there and watch her as she walks over to her car, gets in, and drives away. My wolf desperately wants me to run over to my car and follow her, but I know I can't, and my father wouldn't allow me to, especially since she's human. He's the Alpha and he says it’s a curse to have a human mate, though I think it’s just a bunch of bullshit. I believe that our mates are chosen and it doesn't matter if their a human or not, though I haven't told my father that because he'd kick me out of the house and the pack.

Jade's POV

As I'm driving again, all my thoughts revolve around Noah and how he said he liked, even though he just meet me. Oh well, its not like im going to see him any time soon, more like never.

"Earth to Jade!" Kate says in my ear. I restrain myself from screaming at her. Don't get me wrong I love my friends but sometimes they can be so annoying.

"What?" I declare, annoyed. Shooting glares at Kate.

"Well, excuse me, but so have to turn right at the next exit, which is about 1 minute. I see the exit and turn, and the sigh says Fort Lauderdale 10 miles. Yes, I have been driving for the last 17 hours, which explains why I am cranky.

"We’re here!" Isabelle shouts, “finally, I thought it would never end!"

I laugh and get out of the car. "Nice, Izza, you make it sound like we've been driving forever!" I knock on the door and except my dad to answer but a boy around my age does. "Umm, hi, I'm Kent's daughter; do I have the right house?" I ask worried.

The boy laughs and says, "I'm Alex, an exchange student from Canada, and Kent kindly let me stay here for a few years, if that’s okay with you." He smiles and I nod, "Oh, sorry, come in, Kent's outside by the beach." He leads us over the backyard (which is the beach), then he disappears, to get our suitcases.

I run over to my dad and hug him. "Hey dad, long time no see!" I say happily. "These are my friends Kate," I point to Kate, "and Isabelle," I point to Isabelle.

"Hey honey, its been to long," my dad points out, "you've grown a lot from the last time i saw you." He looks over to my friends. "Hello, I'm Kent, nice to meet you two, and make yourself at home." He declares, smiling widely. "As I notice, you've met Alex, I hope you don't mind him staying for a few years, do you Jade?" he asks worriedly.

I laugh, "Of course not, he looks like a cool dude, and he's from Canada, I love Canadians’!" I laugh harder as I say it.

Thanks for reading, I was surprised when I saw that its only been a day since I wrote my first chapter, I guess I was just into it so much. This isn't my best chapter but it will do, I hope. Anyways to the side as I said up top, is a picture of Noah.
