"You a hoe," was what Maria said when I told her what I did with South.
"How am I a hoe? I only been with two other niggas, bitch," I responded. I nudged her with my elbow when she looked me up and down.
"You only knew him for three days hoe. You still a virgin, right?" I nodded and slit my eyes.
"A week, now. And we hadn't been split apart so its basically been 3 years."
"Why are you just now telling me about this T? Wait don't answer that question. Yo big sister snitched on you when she saw that yo purity ring was off," She laughed.
"Fuck you. Now I don't have to listen to yo annoying ass on the phone cause they took it from me," I huffed. Just then as we stopped at Maria's car, a hand came down on my backside. I turned around swiftly a brought a crisp slap to the face of the culprit.
"Damn Tahzia! Heavy handed ass." It was Max, the school hoe.
"Touch me again, I'm beating yo ass," I yell at him. Maria stepped in front of me and slapped him on his other cheek. "Touch her again, we both beating yo ass," Maria snapped.
"Hey," South came around and wrapped his arms around me, blocking my view of Max. He kissed me hard, moving his hands lower every second. Once his hands came down to my lower back, I pulled away, smiling. "Quit kissing me, I'm mad at you," I mumbled.
"What did I do baby?" He whispered, bringing his lips closer to mine. I pulled further away and dodged his attacks.
"No hoe. You been bad lately. This the first time I seen you at school since last week. All you do is whatever during school, and then come knocking on my window when I get home. You tryna go to summer school?" I laughed when grabbed my hand and pulled me towards his car.
"School is boring. My grades are fine T. I'm smart. I just tell the teachers I'm having trouble at home," He said. South caged me against the car and brought his lips towards mine again. Instead of pushing him away, I gladly let his lips capture mine. He pressed hard against my mouth like he missed them. I moaned when his tongue glided against mine.
"Tahzia Danielle Peterson," I heard the rough voice of my Step dad. Oh shit.
"Pops! Heyyy," The man who raised me sat in our white Jeep, glaring at South. "So this is who Raina was talking about," He stepped out of the car and pulled me away from South.
"What's your name young man?" He asked calmly. I was glad South decided to wear his True Religion jeans and fitted black shirt instead of something that would make him look like a ghetto ass kid.
"South Grey, sir," He put his hand out for my dad to shake. Being the respectful man he is, my dad shook his hand.
"You're Lakely's kid?" South nodded. "Heard a lot about you, kid. Your mom is a smart woman. Good lawyer. I'm Judge James. You can call me Mr. James," My dad smiled. I sighed, relieved that South had good parents.
"Oh ok. Nice to meet you Mr. James," South smiled, showing those sexy smile lines and pearly whites.
"Now, Tahzia, let's go," He turned his glare back on. When we got I'm the car, that's when the lesson started. Didn't I just come from school?
I ignored him the whole way, of course.
-----"What's the word, boss lady," I kissed her on the cheek, while my dad kept talking. He stopped once he saw I wasn't listening.
"I have to get back to work," He rolled his eyes and left.
My phone vibrated in my back pocket right when I started heading upstairs. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and checked the text that I received.
'Can I come thru the front door bae ?'
I smiled at the text from South.
'Duhh hoe'
While I waited for South to appear, I decided to go stalk my mother. She was sitting at the kitchen table, doing secretary work.
"So Ma, you know the dude Raina was talking about right?" She nodded, without looking at me. "He coming over in a minute." She stopped and looked at me, pulling off her glasses as well. I was just hoping she wouldn't beat my ass.
"Leave the damn door unlocked Tahzia." And with that, she got back to work. I laughed at how quickly she could get off of a subject. See, the bitch obviously trusts me.
Just then, there was a knock on the door. I squealed, something a girl like me doesn't do. Without a thought, I ran to the door and opened it. Standing there was South and a little girl, hanging off his hip. I looked down, and there was another one holding onto his leg. Was I seeing double.
"Tahzia, meet Kallee and Kenzie. My twin sisters," He smiled. They looked a lot like him but feminine and young. Their hair was just as soft and curly as South's and they had amazing jawlines for a little kid.
"So you helping babysit or nah?" He asked giving me a pout. I looked at him ridiculously. My body tensed up at my next thought. My mother would kill to have twins.
"Did I hear the word twi-- OH MY GOODNESS! They are so adorable! You two get out of my face, and you two can stay with me. Do you like donuts?" Their eyes lit up at the question and they left. I just shrugged and pulled South to my room.
"So why have I never been told about these sisters of yours?" I asked, closing the door but leaving it unlocked. When I turned back around, South stood there, his eyes already locked on my lips.
"It doesn't matter," He replied, and took my lips with his. I bit back a moan at the urgency in the kiss but more so we wouldn't get caught. I tried to push him away reluctantly, but he decided for hi!myself that he didn't want to stop.
"South," I breathily called his name. He wouldn't stop, almost as if he knew I wanted him to answer the question. He was trying to obliterate the question.
"South, stop," I said with more control. At that, he stopped and dropped his hands to his side, defeated. I stared him in the eye and crossed my arms. He knew I wanted him to answer the question.
"I don't want to talk about it. Just drop it," South whispered. He went to sit on the bed. I sat next to him and looked at him frown.
"You know you can tell me anything. I may be black but, I know how to listen," I lightly nudged him. He looked at me with nothing but seriousness in his eye. It took a minute for him to reply, but when he did, my heart dropped.
"My dad is a dumb ass, who thinks no one should know about them because he's in a gang. Even though my mom's a lawyer," And he had the nerve to laugh at the thought.
Bipolar much?
