"Lilith come to the kitchen and help me out." My mother yelled from the kitchen. Did i really have to get up from my super comfortable position? Ugh!

"I'm coming." I sighed and stood up from my bed.

"That what she said!" My annoying older brother popped his head into my room just to make another one of his stupid jokes.

"Really? You're so childish." I walked past Alex and into the kitchen where i saw my mom fighting with some sort of white dough.

"What do you need help with?" I hopped onto the counter across from her and waited to be told what i needed to do.

"First of all get off that counter Missy and secondly i need you to get me some unsalted butter from the fridge."

I jumped off the counter and did as i was told. I pulled out the drawer and did not see any "unsalted butter". "Mom there isn't any butter here."

She sighed and put a hand on her temple. "Would you mind going to Walmart and buying a 4 pack? Here's some money now hurry along." I took the bill she was waving and walked out of the kitchen.

"Oh and while you're at it please buy some icing!"

It was times like this that i was thankful for Mary living next door to us. I walked up to her door and knocked three times, letting her know it was me and not some crazy psycho.

The door swung open to reveal Mary in her pajamas, "What now Lilith." Mary yawned as she pulled her hair back into a ponytail.

"I need you to come with me, my mom wants me to go to Walmart and buy somethings."

Mary groaned and closed the door. "Every time! Every single time." I could hear Mary grumbling about having to go with me and i couldn't help but laugh a little, she exaggerated so much at times.

After about 10 minutes of waiting for her to come out of the house, i gave up and opened the door. I walked in to see Mary laying on her bed, sleeping.

"MARY! Wake up wake up wake up! We have to go buy some butter!" I jumped on top of her to get her to wake up but she only pushed me off. I tried shaking her awake but that didnt work either. I sighed and jumped off her bed. Looks like i'll have to go to extreme measures to get her out of this house.

I walked into her sister's room and looked for something to help me out. I was ready to give up and call it quits when I remembered all the cruel pranks Laney had pulled on us. She had to have something for me to use.

"A-Ha!" I screamed out in success as I grabbed the only item I knew of that could wake Mary up. "This will do, hopefully." I shook my head as I realized I was talking to myself again.

I organized Laney's room to look as how she had left it and walked back to Mary's room. I laughed a little at how brilliant I was and positioned the item close to her ear, but careful not to leave her deaf. I pressed down and an obnoxious sound surrounded the room. And thankfully, Mary jolted out of bed, screaming in fear.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" Mary held her hands up to cover her ears while she mumbled some offensive words.

I tried to cover up my smug expression but failed as I revealed the blow horn that I had used to wake her up.

Mary, being a sarcastic little shit and all, gasped at the item in my hand. "You little evil son of a---"

I blew the blow horn once more to cover up Mary's cursing. I laughed even more when Mary jumped in the bed.

"Just because you're my best friend! Or else I would have slapped you by now! Never mind I have another idea, taking that blow horn of yours and shoving it up----"

I blew the horn again, and fell to the floor from laughter. This gave Mary the opportunity to snatch the horn from my weak hands and throw it across the hallway.

"Let me sleep!!" Mary grumbled and laid her head back on the pillow. What would it take to get her out of that damn bed? And why does she have to be so lazy it is 10 am she should be up by now!

I crossed my arms and stuck my bottom lip out, I knew she couldn't see me but I was starting to get desperate at this point.

"Ugh!" I got up in one swift movement and jumped on top of her. "Wake up! Pleaseeeeeee!" Maybe my whining would wake her up, hopefully.

"Shut up!" Mary grumbled as she hid her face in the endless pile of pillows she had on her bed. She managed to throw me off guard, which resulted in my ass falling on the floor. She had surprising strength for a person who was barely awake.

To my surprise Mary got up and headed to the restroom. "Give me two minutes to fix my hair and another 5 minutes to plan your death!"

I giggled at how grumpy she got every time you woke her up before she got her 6 hours of sleep. If you ask me I don't know how she does it, I have a difficulty even staying up until 2 am!

------

"Why did we take our bikes?! I have a car and you do too, so please tell me why we are pedaling so much?" I whined as I slowed down to a stop.

"You woke me up, it's only fair to torture you a little!" Mary waited for the cars to stop before she rode to the other sidewalk. I wasn't going to lie seeing all these cars driving fast enough to send us to a hospital if they ran over us kind of scared me.

"Cmon lilith!" I shook away the scary thoughts and pedaled as fast as my short legs could. Once I made it to where Mary was I got off the bike and took a second to catch my breath. My legs were shaking so much I thought they would give out any second and leave me laying on the ground.

"How about this, we bike to that school over there then we take a break, that sound good?" Mary didn't even let me answer as she took off, leaving me out of breath and stumbling to get back on the bike.

It took me at least 3 minutes to catch up to Mary and by that time we were already at the middle school. I sat down on a bench and pulled out my phone to check the time. "10:30"

"OK that was a really long break! Cmon let's go."

My eyes widened and I wiped the sweat from my forehead. "You're kidding right?! I barely sat down Mary!" I was hoping she'd give me a little more time to rest but she just shrugged and got on her bike again.

"Ugh!"

The ride back to our houses was actually fun. Mary took us to where there was a huge hill going down and the wind blew on our faces as we screamed with joy.

"We should do this again some time!"

"Says the one who was complaining the whole time! What did you need butter for anyways?" Mary asked as she parked her bike behind a lawn chair.

"My mom didn't say actually. I don't know, but what I do know is to stop asking questions that will never get answered." I raised up the bags of groceries and parked Mary's extra bike next to where she left hers. "Bye May I'll see you later, probably earlier than you would like." I chuckled under my breath and ran over to our house. It was convenient having my best friend live next door, it was great actually.

I was snapped out of my train of thoughts when I ran into my brother. "Watch where you're going Clumsy Ass!" He exclaimed, without a glance towards me he left the room dangling his Bb gun managing to drop it for the hundredth time today.

I rolled my eyes at how idiotic my older brother was at times. No mind me, he's always been this moronic!
