I remember making empanaddas with you for a class project.
I have watched her grow into womanhood from birth.
As if she had been here before and now knows which way to go.
She doesn't particularly like my writings. She sees potential in my paintings and sketch work. But she is an artist and appreciates that I am creating.
I remember her second birthday. Since she was two, she had to have two pools.
Setting up her first dormitory room. A now college is almost over with.
I can still see her with her little bow legs and big puff balls.
Her speach is so different especially if you are not one us.
I find myself wondering what the next twenty years will hold for her. She has come so far in her first twenty.
Her name is Pride. A fitting name because she really makes us so proud.
