Chapter Sixteen

I groaned and rolled off my bed with a thud. Today was Tuesday. Mina was telling me that apparently that the whole week was holiday.

I winced as I felt pressure on my neck. Last night was eventful. After the twins deliberately marked me I kicked them out. My neck felt worse than it did when I was first marked. I had all this power rushing through my veins. I felt even more attatched to Aaron and August. So much I was overwhelmed and kicked them out.

Finn called them horny dogs. Mina slept over and listened to me rant on about my feelings. Nikolina was also there of course but continued to embarrass me.

By the time we went to bed, Theo and Lila still hadn't come home. I got up off the floor and got dressed.

My bedroom door burst open and Finn came fuming in.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" He began to yell incoherent words that I simply ignored. I felt different. I felt like I was in bliss.

"What are you going on about now?" I asked him calmly. I knew I still had to get his control back.

He pointed directly at me and I slightly smiled.

"Tyler! He's in the hospital because of me!" Finn trembled in rage. My mouth opened in shock. I totally forgot to visit Tyler. I kept putting it off as if it was nothing.

I ran past Finn and grabbed the car keys off the counter downstairs.

Mina was in the kitchen. Making waffles and bacon. "Good morning loverbird." I blushed, my neck tingling. "Want some breakfast?" I shook my head.

"I'm going to visit Tyler in the hospital. You have to come!" I begged.

"Lila and Theo still haven't come back! We can't just leave Isabelle with Finn." I grumbled in annoyance. Then an easy solution came to mind.

"She'll come with us!" I grinned.

Mina winced at my too happy face. "Seriously? Bring a werewolf toddler into a hospital. I don't think that's wise."

She was right. For all we know Isabelle, my favorite niece, might just chew everyone up and spit them out and call them "yucky".

"I'll watch her." Nikolina said entering the kitchen and grabbed a piece of bacon.

"Nikolina, you're not exactly...modern. Have you even changed a diaper?" I asked her. Offended, she crossed her arms.

"I'll have you know I birthed!"

Mina raised an eyebrow. "That means nothing. Nothing at all." Lina glared at her.

"It's not as hard as it looks." She huffed. I tapped my foot impatiently. Mina opened her mouth to protest but I grimaced.

"Don't say we didn't warn you." Is all she says and I pull her out the door before she can change her mind.

When we reached Tyler's room, Kyle sat beside him eating Cheetos quietly while watching a hockey game.

"Tori, Mina! I haven't seen you in ages!" He exclaimed and picked me up in a hug. Then Mina. Tyler was barely awake. He moaned. His body was sickly. He was pale as ever and sweat dripping from his forehead. His stomach wrapped up. The scratch Finn gave him under it.

Kyle spoke again. "The doctor said it was an infection from some rabid dog or something." I nodded.

"How you doing, Ty?" Mina approached the innocent boy and touched her hand onto his forehead. He moaned. Words still not coming from him. Her hands slid down his cheek.
