Grim- 3

Chapter 3

 I followed the Grim out the doors and up huge stairs, after walking up thoughts stairs we walked down the hall and up some more stairs going to a room with many young Dark Angels. All stopped what they were doing and looked at me and the Grim reaper.  “Dark angels. This is Sofiel. She will stay in Lightning corridors.” He looked down at me and continued to talk. “ Come now.” I followed trying to control my wings from hitting people, one of my wings spazzed out and hit a girl in the face. Rage filled he eyes and she grabbed my shoulder spinning me around to face here. All eyes were on us.

“What was that for wimp?” She said, he voice high and scratchy making me even more angry. Fire  filled my bones and rose from my feet to my head. I glared back at her no fear inside me what’s so ever.

“You will not talk to me that way, I have done nothing to you! I just got these wings. And unlike you I just had to leave my parents and my friends and family. My family are descendents of all the good angels. They are White angels and I was supposed to be one to. But no! Im down here with a pathetic Grim Reaper. He will not push me around and neither will any of you, so stand your ground Dark angel, my stance is stronger than yours and my right of passage is higher than yours. So back off. I have more power then you and I can feel it. You talk to me like that again and you will turn to ash.” I finally stopped talking, I was surprised myself, where did that come from!? I was always so nice and sweet I have never said anything mean at all! I was raised by White Angels for Pachar’s sake! I cannot believe I just said that, guilt filled up inside my heart but was quickly fought over by hate towards this one girl. What is happening to me?

The girl smiled and took a step back.

“Welcome to the underground Sofiel.” She said. Whispers went around the room about me belonging here. “It’s nice to meet you, and you do belong here. My name is Sapphon, but everyone calls me Saph. I’m the keeper of secrets, or at least. I will be when my grandmother steps down.” She smiled and put her hand out for me to shake. I smiled at her with confusion and shook her hand, I no longer hated her I liked her? Im so confused.

“Come now.” Grim said, I turned and followed him wrapping my wings around myself to make sure they don’t hit anyone else.

“Will you teach me how to put my wings away Grim?” I asked sweetly.

“Uh, don’t be sweet with me.” He sighed and shook his head.

“Alright then, teach me to put my wings away or I’ll burn your home down.” I said.

“Much better, just think to yourself. ‘I no longer want to see my wings.’ They should go away.” I did so in my mind and I could feel my wings folding themselves up and going into my back. “When you want them out. Think to yourself ‘I want my wings.” I snorted thinking it’s kind of pathetic but oh well right? He stopped at a door with my name burning its way into the door. I opened the door and the walls where a peach color. It was huge! I looked around and my bed was in the corner propped up with metal and stone, so under my bed was a bunch of pillows and a beanie bag, on the other side of the room there was another bed, just like mine.  On the bed post it said “Saph” I was rooming with her? I was interrupted by the Grim.

“She will take you shopping soon to get you some clothes. Ask her anything, she knows everything. Stupid Keeper of secrets.” He mumbled the last part leaving the room. Saph walked in and smiled at me.

“Do you like the room? It is the brightest of all rooms so Reaper thought you would like it here. I don’t mind having a roommate.” She shrugged her shoulders. I walked over to the beanie bag and just sat there looking around the room taking the room in. There was a huge brown bear in the corner of her little space under the bed. I watched her walk over to it and snuggle up to it pulling out a book.  I looked around some more and saw a door, I looked to my side of the room and saw a door as well.
