~ARIEL'S POV~
A neatly folded note hit my desk, soon realizing who it was from I rolled my eyes."Open It"he husky voice whispered from behind me, making a pleasurable chill to go down my spine. Why is it that every time he whispers to me like that it makes me feel so weird inside?. Following his order, I unfolded the neat note, letting my eyes scanned his clean handwriting.
'You still don't want to go on a date with me?' the note read. I rolled my eyes again.'Why would you care if I go to dinner with you? You've never noticed me, just go find some slut to go with you' I quickly wrote back and folded back up the note. Making sure the teacher was too busy on her computer, I turned around letting the paper on Jason's desk. As I was turning around to sit back down properly, I glanced at Nicholas to find him slightly frowning at me. "What?" I mouthed over to him. He shook his head and looked down, pulling out his phone in process. I guess he'll text it to me. I sighed and glanced up at the board were 'Read pages 23-28 and answer the selection questions' were written in big blue marker. Snapping me out of my daze, the same perfectly folded up note landed right in front me. I sighed again. I seem to be doing that a lot lately. Before I could open the note, my phone vibrated from my back pocket. Placing the note back on the desk, I reached for the phone in my back pocket, giving Nick a glance while doing so. He was looking down at his book, emontionlessly, looking lost in thought. I finally pulled the phone out of my pocket and unlocked the screen clicking my messages.
From:Nick
What Did The Note Say? What Did You Reply?
I laughed as I quickly typed back up a response.
From:Ariel
Nosy Much? I'm Just Kidding but he asked me if I still don't want to go on a date with me. I said that why would he care to just take another slut.
After sending the text, I slipped my phone back into my pocket and opened up the note.'Because I just noticed how your different then other girl here, you stand out. Please go out with me on Friday?' his fimiliar handwriting read. Ignoring the fact that my heart fluttered at the first part of the note, I quickly wrote back a response.'How many girls have you used that on,huh?'
I folded the paper back up, but before I could place it on his desk the bell rang. Everyone got up and rushed out of the class but as for Jason he waited for me. I slowly got up from my seat and grabbed my black Jansport book bag. Jason leaned against the desk, patiently waiting for me while a new batch of kids started to pile in the classroom. I turned to him to see him smiling at me brightly.I mentally rolled my eyes, but just gave him a slight smirk in return. I handed him the note and watched carefully for his reaction as he unfolded it. My smirk grew bigger after a few seconds that his face dropped. He looked up at me and opened him mouth to speak ut before he could, I turned on my heel and quietly exited the room. I looked around the hallways. Nicholas was nowhere in sight. He probably got tired of waiting for me.
"Hey,Ari." a voice chirped from beside me . I looked to my right to see Veronica."Hey,V.Whats up?" I wondered, plastering a casual smile on my face. She gave me a light shrug, but her eyes said another thing.:nothing much. You know the regular schedule" she said, rolling her eyes playfully. I giggled and slapped her shoulder lightly."liar, your dying to tell me something, spill!" I exclaimed. Her casual smile turned into sly smirk."Jason's been asking 'bout you" she said nodding my shoulder. I looked over at her scrunching my eyebrows in cofusion.
"What do you mean?" I questioned. She laughed. " He's been going around asking everyone that know you for your number" she winked. I sighed slightly."I thought you hated him. I mean he played you like every other girl in this school." I commented. She laughed slightly, rolling her eyes playfully, again.
"Chick, you should know me by now. I like getting wild for one night and pretending like nothing happened the next. No strings attached. I don't mind." She giggled like it was the funniest thing in the world. I gave her a fake smile and stopped at my next classroom."this is my next class, see ya at lunch?" I stated, she nodded and gave me an air kiss before walking of to her class. I walked into mines and took my seat at the back of the class. Veronica is not a bad girl, spin fact she's one of the nicest you'll ever meet, but sometimes she's a little too crazy. As the teacher rumbled on about some event in history I had no interest in, I spaced out, playing with the tip of the book on my desk.
Why would Jason be working so hard to go on a date with me?
