~ARIEL'S POV~
"Nicholas" I groaned as he gripped my wrist, literally dragging me to the next store."Come on, Ariel!" he whined, tugging my arm. I sighed, shaking my head. "Nick, you know I hate the mall. Can we just go home?" I exclaimed trying to wiggle out of his grip. He groaned and let my wrist go, his face turning annoyed.
"You know what, Ariel, Just go home. I wanted to spend some time with you, get out of the house, hangout like bestfriends, but obviously that won't be possible. Just go" he growled. Guilt hit me right in the chest. I sighed, walking over to him, trying to wrap my arms around him but he just pushed me of.
"Look Nick, I'm so--" before I could finish he cut me off."Cut the bullshit." he whisper-yelled, not wanting to cause attention "I'm tired Ariel, just whatever...." He turned on his heels and started to walk away, the direction of the entrance. "Nicholas" I yelled after him, earning dirty looks from people, he just ignored me and walked out of the mall. He's been really grumpy lately, like everything bothers him. Sighing to myself silently, I walked over to the nearest bench and plopped down, shoving my face into my hands. What am I going to do now?
~JASON'S POV~
Eli squealed in my arms as we approached the kids part of the mall. I smiled, looking down at her almost jumping in my arms. I set her down and crouched down beside her, patting her bum, assuring her it was okay to go. She burst into giggles as she rushed into the play area, joining the other kids. I stood back up and turned around to see Alex is now sitting at the bench, scrolling through his phone. I shook my head, the smile still on my face. Just as I was about to sit down, I noticed a familiar blonde sitting on the bench near the water fountain. Her straight blonde hair, fell down her side. She had her hands in her face, the bracelets on her arm falling down to her elbows. It was really the only way I noticed her, that red bracelet she wore that stood out oh so much. I turned back over to Alex."Bro, watch Elizabeth for me? She's in the play area" I mumbled, and walked away not bothering to hear his response. I took a seat next to her, putting my hand on her back. She flinched army touch. She looked up, her worried, tired eyes pierching through me.
"Hey,baby cakes" I smirked. She groaned, shaking her head."I'm not in the mood for your shit right now,Jason" she exclaimed, getting up. I sighed. Why must she be so hard?
"look I sorry. I was just walking with my brother and I saw you here sitting down all upset" I lied. She shrugged, her green orbs turning cold."Why would you care?" she bitterly spat. I sighed in defeat. "Gee, I was trying to be nice." I muttered, getting up from the bench, hoping she'd follow. I was almost back to where Alex was sitting when I felt a small hand grab my wrist. Electricity went trough me. What's that about? I shrugged it of and turned around to come in contact with Ariel's small skinny figure.Well she wasn't small but I was like two inches taller than her. "What?" I asked, putting on the best annoyed face on. I was actually glad she followed me.One step closer, I chanted in my head."look, I'm sorry" she apologized letting go of my wrist, keeping her head down. "Me and Nick got in a small fight, and I'm just upset. I'm sorry for snapping at you" I fought back the smirk that was tugging on my lips, and replaced it with a goofy smile. I opened up my arms and gave her my best innocent face."Does someone need a hug?" I teased in a baby voice. She giggled and accepted the offer, slowly walking into my embrace. I wrapped my strong arms around her petite body and swayed us back and forth gently. She pulled away after a minute and gave me a warm smile. Shaking of the felling, I just nodded and smiled back."I-I heve to go" she whispered and slowly turned around, walking away without another word.
~ARIEL'S POV~
"Does someone need a hug?" Jason joked in a baby voice. I giggled and nodded, accepting the offer. I quietly walked into his arms and laid my head on his shoulder. He smells so good. I ignored that thought and enjoyed the comfort of his arms. Don't fall for it, Ariel. He's a player, I thought.Snapping back into reality, I pulled away and gave him a warm smile. After all he was being nice. It took him a few seconds but he smiled back. His smile is breathtaking."I-I have to go" I whispered, and took one last look at his gorgeous face before turning around and walking away, slightly.
