I knocked on the door of Nick's house, and shoved my hands into the pockets of my hoodie, waiting patiently. It was only a minute or so before Nicholas's mom opened the door. She gave me a soft smile before pulling me into a hug.
"Hey sweetheart, Nick's with Bella on the couch, in the living room" she smiled, pulling away. I nodded.
"Thanks, Mrs. Well" I replied, and walked past her into the living room where Nick was playing with Bella on the couch, tossing her lightly in the air and catching her again, making her giggle like crazy.
"Hi" I whispered, causing Nick's head to snap over to me. His face went from amused to disgusted, as he eyed me up. His eyebrow rising, in a questioning manner, after a few minutes.
"What are you doing here?" he asked. My jack fell to the floor as I stared at him in disbelieve.
"What do you mean what am I doing here? I came to talk to my bestfriend" I stated, not daring to rip my eyes away from him. He rolled his eyes and set Bella down on his lap, wrapping his arm around her, keeping her close to his stomach.
"I already told you, I don't want to see your ugly face" he spat, viciously. My green eyes widened once more, warm tears welling in them. Nicholas has never said something like that to me, and let me tell you it hurts. He was my bestfriend, Someone I could trust with my life. I shook my head and closed my mouth, not trusting my voice for a moment.
"You know, I don't know what has gotten into you . Your such a fucking prick. I thought you were my bestfriend. I guess not. You were the sweetest, most caring person I knew and now? Now your just a freaking prick. Don't ever to talk to me again" I exclaimed after a few seconds of silence. He looked a bit taken back but just shrugged and look down at Bella. I turned around, ready to walk out of the room when his mom walked in.
"What's going on here?" she asked. I shook my head.
"Nothing,Mrs.Wells. I was just leaving" I replied, and made my way down the hallway to the front door. I walked out and slammed it, practically running down the steps. Thunder struck loud in sky, making me flinch. I looked up, watching as the clouds covered the sun and rain drops started to fall. I sighed and wrapped my arms around myself, letting the salty substance that was built up in my eyelids stroll freely down my cheeks.
"You really shouldn't be walking in the rain" a familiar male voice called from behind me. I spun around to see Jason standing on the sidewalk, hands in his jeans, soaking wet. His hair dripped down the side of his face making him look hotter than he already is. I shrugged my shoulders, looking at him suspiciously.
"What are you doing here?" I asked. He rolled his eyes playfully and walked over to me, nudging my shoulder.
"Gee, hi to you too" he joked. "But, I taking a walk and I just saw you walk out of that house" I nodded allowed my head to hang while I turned around, ready to walk of in the direction of my house.
"Whoa, where are you going?" Jason called from behind me.
