"How 'bout, I'll take you upstairs and I'll put Elmo up in your room" he suggested.
"Otay daddy" she replied, wrapping her arms around his neck.
D-Daddy?
Jason stiffened beside me, but quickly regained himself and backed out of the room, walking up the stairs. I shifted awkwardly in my spot, that word repeating in my head.
Daddy
I snapped my glance over at the guy sitting on the couch, who stared interest at the tv.
"J-Jason's a dad?" I found myself asking.
The guys head snapped over to me, his eyes scanning my body up and down, making me fell uncomfortable.
"yeah" he replied, rather rudely. "You are?"
"I'm Ariel" I stated in a hushed tone. He glanced at the tv screen for a second but soon moved his piercing blue eyes back to me.
"I'm Alex" he introduced. "Jason's brother"
My eyebrow raised, as I eyed him. He had breathtaking blue eyes, light brown hair, a button nose and small dry lips. He was buff. Fairly large muscles covered his arms, a six pack probably formed under his baby blue tank top.
"Done checking me out?" his voice startled me, snapping me out of my thoughts. My eyes slightly widened.
"I wasn't checking you out" I objected. "It's just.. You look nothing like Jason" He shrugged carelessly, turning his head back to the large plasma screen tv hung on the peach colour wall.
"We're half brothers" he exclaimed. I simply nodded my head, moving my gaze down to my shoes.
"um, ready to study?" a voice called from behind, causing me to slightly jump. I turned my head around to find Jason standing there looking uneasy. simply nodded my head, walking towards him. He gave me a weak smile, and crept his hand onto the small of my back, leading me up the stairs and into what I'm guessing was his room. He threw his book bag on the bed and mentioned me towards it.
"You can sit" he offered. I gave him a polite smile and strolled over to the bed sitting at the foot of it, my eyes scanning the entire room. The walls were a dark shade of blue, a wooden wardrobe stood opposite from the door. His bed was slightly messy and sat a few feet away from the wardrobe, leaning against both walls. On the wall in front hung a 32 inch plasma screen tv. A couple feet in front of the wardrobe was a wooden desk, containing a blue desk lamp and a grey apple laptop plugged into its charger. The room was small but comfortable.
"Earth to Ariel" Jason called, waving his hands in front of my face. I felt my cheeks heat up, probably covered by a crimson colour.
"I'm sorry" whispered. "I was just looking around the room"
"Don't like it?" Jason wondered. I vigorously shook my head.
"It's cute. Small but comfortable." I mumbled. He nodded his head towards me and gave me a weak smile.
"So what do you wanna do?" He wondered, sitting at the other end of the bed, leaning against his pillows. I shrugged.
"Can ask you a question?" I blurted. He nodded, his full attention falling upon me.
"Sure" he commented, keeping his beautiful mocha eyes on me. How am I supposed to ask this? Are you really a dad? Is she really your child?
"uh... Um, you know what, it's not important." I muttered and hung my head, playing with my fingers. felt Jason shift behind me, making the bed squeak a little.
"Aw come on" he pleaded. "Ask me"
I sighed keeping my head down, my gaze not leaving my fingers.
"a-are you r-really her dad?" I croaked. I watched as his facial expression change. He let out a soft sigh, not daring to look me in the eye.
"yeah" he let out a dry chuckle "she's my little princess"
A small smile came across my lips, as I studied how his eyes went from boredom to love.
"You loved her don't you?" I murmured, my smile remaining on my face. He chuckled, his eyes connecting with mine.
"yeah, yeah I do. She was a mistake... But a beautiful one" he whispered. My heart melted as soon as those words as those words came out of his mouth.
"You know, your not the type of guy thought you were" I commented. He raised an eyebrow, suddenly becoming interested
"what type of guy do you think I was?" he wondered. I chuckled looking around the room, avoiding his mesmerizing mocha orbs.
"like those guys that had the perfect life, didn't give a crap about anyone but themselves, the typical jock" I said truthfully.
Jason looked over at me, raising an eyebrow, while finally meeting my gaze.
"well you thought wrong" he chuckled. I giggled and shook my head.
"but you sleep with girls, you break their hearts, you make them fall for you and once you get in their pants you just leave them" I pointed out. A sigh escaped Jason's lips as he looked down at the ground, playing with the soft fabric of the blanket that was in his hands.
"I guess" he shrugged carelessly "but it's not like they care, they're not like you, they're sluts. All they want is sex"
My eyes locked on his face, as my shoulder inwardly shrugged . The heat slowly rose up to my cheeks. I let out a short sigh escape from my lips.
"I think I should go" I mumbled, getting up from the bed. Jason stood up too, he looked a little disappointed.
"Why though?" he whined, pouting a little. "You just got here"
I giggled, pinching his cheeks. I have to admit, that face he just made was adorable.
"sorry" I mumbled, strapping my book bag onto my shoulders. "I'll see you at school"
He nodded and leaned over, placing a gentle kiss on my cheeks. I looked down as the crimson shade started to appear on my cheeks. could hear Jason chuckle from above me. I looked up and gave him a last smile before walking out of his room.
