~ARIEL'S POV~
I sighed silently, listening to Mrs.Hernandez go on and on about the civil war. Bored out of my mind, I tapped the pencil on the desk impatiently, my eyes focused on the clock. 1.57 . Just 3 more minutes, I repeated in my head. Feeling his Mocha eyes burning a hole through me, I turned my head around to see him staring straight at me.
Britney, the school's biggest slut, kept looking at Jason and then at me, shooting daggers. I rolled my eyes, and turned back in my seat, facing the board. After another agonizing 2 minutes, the bell finally rung. Everyone jumped up from their seats and practically ran out of class. I got up from my seat, calmly, and grabbed my book bag of the floor, slinging it over my shoulder.
"Hey,Ari" someone called from behind me. I turned around to see Jason, a sly smirk planted on his lips. I rolled my eyes and turned on my heels, walking out of class, and towards my locker. Luckily, I didn't hear his footsteps behind me, meaning he wasn't following me. I finally reached my locker and quickly put in my combination, pulling the door open. After dumping in all my books, and grabbing my ipod, I slammed the door shut. I turned around to come in contact with Jason's face. The same smirk, tugged on his lips as he grabbed my bag from the floor.
"Ignoring you friend isn't a very nice thing to do" he exclaimed, handing me my book bag. I took it from his grip reluctantly and slung it back over my shoulders.
"and who said I was your friend?" I hissed, giving him a glare. He put his hands up in defense, but the smirk on his face remained.
"Hey I just assumed" he stated. I laughed, dryly.
"great" I muttered sarcastically, giving him a fake smile. "Now you can assume that I don't want to talk to you"
I turned to my side, but before I could walk away, he grabbed my wrist.
"Come on, can't you tell me I'm trying to be friends with you" he commented, a pitch of annoyance in his voice. I mentally rolled my eyes and turned to face him. My eyes narrowed at him.
"I don't want to be friends with you. You do the same thing to every girl. I'm not going to fall for you little game. How do I know you're not going to the same thing to me?" I snapped, rather harshly, wiggling my wrist from his fairly.
"look" he called after me, as I walked away. "I'm not playing you, I swear. Like I said, your different, really" he finally caught up to me and took my petite wrist in his big hand again.
"Please" he begged. I sighed and looked away. I guess being his friend wouldn't hurt. I shrugged.
"Whatever" I mumbled, trying to get my wrist from his embrace.
A smile took over his frown and he pulled me towards his body, crushing me against his chest. I patted his back awkwardly and pulled away after a few minutes.
"Okay.." I said awkwardly. "I'm gonna head on home" He nodded, but stopped me again.
"Want a ride home?" he offered. I shook my head, giving him a weak smile.
"It's okay. I rather walk" I murmured, and started walking away, but he jogged over to me.
"Oh, come on, I can't let you do that. Let me take you home" he insisted. I sighed and nodded.
I'm not going to win this one.
"fine" I whispered. He smiled and linked my arm to his. I gave him a warning look but he just shrugged and gave me a cute smile, making me smile as well.
