Chapter 1

           ♡♤♡ Zoey's POV ♡♤♡

  * Morning *

" Zoe - chan wake up! Zoey wake up! Wake up or you'll be late! And on your first day! " someone said . " 5 more minutes . " I said sleepily . I really wanted to sleep more , but someone thought different . " Zoey get up! " 3 tiny voices said . I opened my eyes and fell out of my bed , and fell onto the floor . Ow! I look up , and see my 3 chara's . Guardian chara's are little guardians who help you become your
" Would - be - self " . I have three , I didn't think it was possible to have 3 .   But I guess it is , my life has been rough . I can remember the day I got them , and when I met them .
It happened a year ago .
    
      * Flashback * 

My dad had recently just died , and I was being beaten up for being not cool at school . Mom had taken me out of school , because we were moving to Japan . She got a job as a script writer , so we're moving . Which I'm glad , but then I won't be able to visit dad's grave anymore . Me and dad were really close . I was sleeping , it was still morning . Mom had left early so she could go talk to the real estate agent , it's important . But I felt something in my bed , what's in my bed besides me?
I sit up , and pull my covers over .
" Ahhhhhh! " I screamed in shock , then I fell out of my bed with the blanket , I took my blanket off me . And I looked at the 3 objects in the middle of my bed . It was three eggs! One was purple , one was pink , and the other was red . Huh? I stood up and start pacing around my room . " How!?! It didn't say anything about this in health class! Where's the manual? Is suppose to happen!?! How!?! How did this happen!?!  " I said . I walked over to them sat on the bed , I put my hand on the red one . It's warm . This is freaky! Then all of a sudden , they started cracking . Ahhh! I fell off the bed again . I tangled with my blanket again . What's going on!?! I layed there still struggling to get out of my blanket , somebody help me! So I took my blanket , and pulled it off me . Then , when I got up I saw 3 little people standing by they're eggs . They're girls! I walked over to them , and wrapped my blanket around me . " Who are you? " I asked . They looked at me , and smiled . " Hi! I'm ruby! " the red haired girl said . " I'm aqua! " the purple haired girl said . " I'm dottie! Me , aqua and ruby are sisters! " the pink haired girl said . They're so little , they're about the size of a expo marker! " I'm ... I'm ... I'm ... I'm zoey hotaru . " I said . " Were your shugo chara's! We're your would - be - self! Well , with different personalitys we are! " I said . My would - be - self? " Shugo what? " I asked . " Shugo chara's! " aqua said .
" If you still don't understand then , when you move to Japan there should be some people who will explain . " dottie said . " How did you know I'm moving to japan? " I asked . " It's on your calendar! " aqua said as she pointed to my calendar .
" Oh yeah , I forgot I had it marked . " I said sadly . " Aqua , dottie! She seems upset about it! Don't mention it! " ruby said to aqua and dottie . " I'm sorry . " dottie said . " I didn't know . " aqua said . " No , don't get mad at them . Besides it's fine , I'm use to people mentioning it anyway . " I said . " And one thing , if you don't believe in us then we'll dissappear . " ruby said .
" I believe in you! I'm just shocked , I didn't expect this! " I said . " You wished for confidence and courage last night! So that's how we were born! We were born from your wish! " dottie said . So is she trying to say I gave birth to shugo chara's by making a wish for confidence and courage last night? I didn't expect the shooting star to make this happen! But I'm only 13! I can't give birth! If I ever did , mom would kill me! But it was by wish , so I didn't actually give birth . They were just born from my wish , so I'm technically not a parent . But my would - be - self , are they really here to help me become my would - be - self . Cool? Well I don't know if it's cool or not , I don't really know how to react!

     * Flashback ends * 

  I took my blanket off me , and glared at my chara's . " You didn't have to wake me up so early! " I said . " It's your first day of school! And you don't want to be late! " aqua said . " Yeah! Today you can try out for the school's volleyball team! " ruby said . " Come on! Get changed into your uniform already! " dottie said . Yeah , I like volleyball . Mom played it when she was in middle school , and continued playing until she went to college . Me and mom did move to japan , we moved into our new house yesterday and finished unpacking last night . We don't have that much stuff , so it was pretty easy to unpack . I've had my chara's for a year now , I still don't know much about them . I'm attending Seiyo academy , rumor has it that there's a group of people called the " Guardians " who know all kinds of stuff on chara's! So I'm gonna try to talk to them , well if I can meet them . I heard they're joker is amazing! And she has 4 chara's! That's amazing! And just when I thought having 3 chara's was amazing! But I'll be starting as the new kid , and the new kids usually get beaten up . I've been beaten up before , it was last year at my old school . So I get up , and fix my bed . Then I run to my dresser , and put on my uniform . The uniform is a white blouse , black jacket , red plaid arm band that goes on the jacket , red plaid skirt , red plaid leg warmer things , black shoes , and a red tie . So I put it on , walk to my dresser with the mirror and brush my mid - back brown hair . I put my hair up in a red ponytail , and then I look at myself . I look the same . Same brown hair , same stormy grey eyes , same pale white paper skin . I'm now 14 , and I'm ready for school . I grab my backpack and purse for my chara's . I put my backpack on my left shoulder , and my purse is a waist clip purse . " Ruby , aqua , dottie in! " I said . So they got in they're eggs , and got in the purse . Then I shut the purse , and went downstairs . Mom was waiting for me by the door , she was smiling . I smiled . " You look beautiful zoey . " she said . I blushed .
" Thanks mom . " I said . " You ready? " she asked . " Yes , let's go . " I said . So we walked out of the house and got in the car . I buckled my seat belt and mom drove me to school . I looked outside the window , will everyone except me? I mean I can be hard to get along with , I can be stubborn . But will anyone except me for me? Or will they pretend to except me because I have 3 chara's . Ruby is the athletic chara , aqua is fixing machine type chara and dottie is the music and party chara . She may not look like the music part , but she is . I've done character changes with all of them . Character changes is when your chara takes over your body , and your personality changes to your chara's personality . So like if I was playing softball , which I wouldn't do . So if I was and I was bad , and I did a character change with ruby then a little sports clip would appear in my hair and I would make a home run . So that'd how it works , but character transformation is way different . Character transformation is when your chara goes into your body , and your outfit changes kinda into your chara's clothes . And you'll have powers , and your personality would change to your chara's personality . So like if I did a character transformation with aqua , then my clothes would change and kinda match aqua's and I would have powers and my personality would change to aqua's personality . I haven't been able to do a character transformation with any of my chara's yet , but it doesn't really matter does it? So when the car is at the school , my heart starts pounding . I can do this! I can do this! Put before I get out of the car , mom stops me .
" Zoey , have a good day . Make new friends , join a club or team . " she said . " I'll try mom . " I said . " I love you sweetie , don't forget that . " she said . " I won't , and I love you too . " I said . So then I got out of the car , and stood there and watched mom drive off until the mom's car disappears . Mom is going to work today , so we're both starting out as new students . I hope she has a good day too . Well , here I go . So I walk towards the school , and go in .
