With the bad dream still playing in my mind, I wake up gasping for air and angrily wipes away my tears that falls down my cheeks.
"Why did that memory had to come back this night? Of all the nights, it had to come back when I had fallen asleep with a smile on my face? What was I thinking when I went to bed? Can that be the reason to why that memory made itself reminded?"
- What in the nine Realms did I do to deserve this?
I mutters to myself as I throw the blanket away and bend over to the side and burry my head in my hands and just let the tears fall down my face.
- Oh, my sweet daughter. Don't you cry. It's not your fault that the Oracle hasn't called onto yet.
I look up in shock as mother walks into my room and straight towards me. She grabs my hands with one hand and wipes away my tears with the other and continues to talk.
- She may have her reasons for why she hasn't. And when she does calls at you, you walk up to her and ask her why she took such long time. Prove to her that you are the strongest and independent girl this village has ever seen.
Smiling to her, I nod to her as she wipes away another tear that falls down my cheek.
- Thanks mom.
I whisper to her as she stands up again.
She smiles to me and walks towards the door again. There she stops and look at me like she remembers why she came into my room in the first place.
- Tiffany is waiting downstairs for you.
"Oh, gods. How can I have forgotten that?"
- Can you tell her that I'll be down in a minute?
Mother smiles her smile again and as she walks out of my room, I can hear her calling to Tiffany that I'll be with her soon.
- Alright! Thanks, miss Riverstone!
I smile as I hear Tiff's voice.
I shake my head one last time to get the bad memory/dream out of my head, then I stand up and walk over to my wardrobe.
A sigh escapes my lungs as I watch at all the colorless garments I have to choose from. Well it's not colorless per say, my T-shirts are just in the color of white and my jeans are not completely white, they are in a very light blue color. The only thing that I have that is not just white, is my cap. It's black with some white pattern on it.
Something that we who don't have any magic yet have is a weapon of some sort. Mostly it is a knife, but I have seen some with a bow and arrow, one in my class was carrying around a sword before he met the Oracle. For some reason take the Oracle our weapons when we are given our powers. She must have enough weapons to give an army.
My parents gave me my knife when I was 5, by the time I thought that I was too young to have any weapon, but mom and dad told me that I wasn't. I still think that I was too young for having to carry around a knife all the time.
The knife is nothing extraordinary, it's not very long, it is as long as from my middle finger to just below my wrist. It looks like a snake, with three snake heads on the handle of the knife. The blade is like any other knifes. When I'm not using it, I have it in its folder that is resting on my left hip.
- So, on with the cap and get the knife around your hip then get out of your room.
I mumble to myself as I take my cap and knife from the nightstand.
I look into my room to see that I haven't forgotten anything. Deciding that I haven't, I close the door and rush down the stairs. At the end of the stairs stands Tiff with open arms and I throw myself into her warm hug. Tiffany laughs to me and I smile into her neck. When we let go of each other Tiffany tilt her head and gives me one of her questioned but still funny looks.
