(Sorry this is SOO late I've been busy as hell dying in schoolwork and relationships... PS: I recommend reading the chapter before to catch yourself up if you haven't recently. It honestly wouldn't make sense otherwise)

Jackie's POV

Rowan and I packed up our things and headed out to Mom's car. The security opens the door for us and we quickly rush in. We are both obviously overwhelmed by the paparazzi.

"Sorry about that." I say once we are both comfortably seated, I can't help but feel bad about the paparazzi.

"It's fine." She mumbles, still obviously shaken up.

"Hey, what kind of music do you want to listen to? I've got my phone blue-toothed." I ask, wanting to make my new friend as comfortable as possible.

"Well, would it be weird to ask for Taylor?" Rowan asks nervously.

"Um, not really. I'm her daughter, but I was a fan first." I reply. The first notes of Wildest Dreams comes on and the tension in our shoulders finally release.

We both sit back and watch the bustling life of New York pass by us. A comfortable silence in conversation settles around us as my mom's voice fills our ears.

The car manages to stop in front of the apartment with no issues, but plenty of paparazzi are right outside. Security lines the side walk preparing our entrance.

"Don't worry, they'll give us a walkway. Just keep your head down or if you have sunglasses, hold your head high. Also, don't listen to them unless they're being nice." I explain thoroughly. I'm surprised by my own confidence, I haven't been in the spotlight long enough to be used to them.

Rowan takes out a pair of sunglasses, matching me with black Ray-bans style. I decide to take a selfie of the two of us matching.

We share a final glance of reassurance and rush out the door. I put on a smile, ignoring the flashes as best as possible, a lesson I've learned from both my moms. The pap's shouting is tuned out to white noise. Rowan is obviously uncomfortable so I grab her hand and pull her the rest of the way.

Once inside, I thanked security and led Rowan up the staircase to our house. The elevator has always been broken and even when it is fixed, Mom won't let me use it. She's very easily worried.

At the apartment door, Rowan stops me. Her fingers fiddle with a necklace around her neck. I watch her with worry, what if she's scared and doesn't want to be my friend?

"I don't know about this." She expresses, her voice small. My eyes widen and I begin to shift nervously. I'm definitely not used to making friends and being Taylor's daughter isn't helping.

"What? Hanging out with Taylor Swift's adoptive daughter? I swear I'm a normal teenager. I mean for the most part. Many people would say I'm quite talented." I joke out of nerves, chuckling lightly as soon as I see her face light up.

"Oh. No, I mean, won't your mom not want someone like me...hanging out with you?" Rowan says putting her head down. My eyes widen once again, this was not what I expected.

"What? No! My mom isn't like that. In that case she wouldn't have adopted me! I was just an every day fan a couple months ago, remember that." I try my best to reassure my new friend.

"Ok. Let's go then." Rowan says more confidently.

"Fair warning, you will be sniffed by cats and probably hugged really tightly for being my friend. I don't have many." I warn seriously. Rowan laughs, but quickly quiets herself once seeing my completely serious expression.
