Both my dad and I are silent as we drive to the hospital. The same thoughts are playing over and over again in my mind, like that song Darcy loved that she used to sing all the time.
You were young, you were free and you dared to believe
You could be the girl who could change the world,
Then your life took a turn, and you fell, and it hurt,
But you're still that girl, and you're gonna change this world.
Darcy fell deeper than I ever thought she could. If she wakes up, she might not still be the girl she was before. And if she doesn't... Well, I don't know what will happen.
