This time
I stood my ground
I didn't let him tower over me
I stood up stright showed I'm not a little girl anymore
He can not just keep pushing me around
I am growing up
He can not push me down again
I did not cower in silence
I stood in confidence
And he showed his weekness
I saw it in his eyes for a second he saw who I am becoming
And there was a gleam of shock in his eyes
He had to step back to regain himself
When he returned
I was bright and shining
He figured I would be crying
But I am freeing myself from his grip
I am pruving him wrong
I am better then he treats me
I deserve better
Just a little longer and I will be free
Free from hurt
Free from his put downs
His expectations and
His limitations
I will be free to be me
I. Will. Be. Free.
