Danny's POV

I turned my alarm off and stretched beneath my sheets. I looked over at the empty pillow next to me. I smiled and frowned at the same time. Kyle would be here soon, but not soon enough. Missed her like crazy! I sat up and swung my feet over the edge of the bed. Time to get up and jump into the shower.

Once I was ready for the day, I grabbed a messenger bag from under my bed. I slid my laptop and headphones inside, then I grabbed a picture frame from beside my bed. It was a picture of Kyle that Tom had taken without her noticing. She was looking off to the side at something and it was positively stunning. I brought the bag downstairs with me and grabbed another picture frame off the table behind the couch. This one was of me and Kyle from that night we were at Tom's. She was sitting on my lap and you could just tell that we were having a little moment to ourselves. I don't remember anyone ever taking a picture, but just a couple days after Kyle went back to Ireland, Harry and Liz gave me this. They must have known how badly I needed to see her, and this was perfect.

I made myself a quick breakfast then threw a couple snacks in my bag, too. Time to head to the studio. We were going to record the new song Tom and I had written. And that's why I grabbed the photos. I always found it helpful to have inspiration for emotional songs. Not that this was a slow, sappy song, but it had a lot of feelings in it. So I was going to hang the pictures up in the booth while I recorded my parts so I could remember what I was feeling when we wrote it.

I parked round the corner from the studio. As I walked up to the studio I noticed a couple photographers and a reporter waiting outside. I'd kept a pretty low profile lately so I hadn't really seen the press since Kyle was here. I figured I'd be nice and give them a couple minutes. I was early and I knew only Harry would be here yet. I stopped in front of them with a smile and a nod. Out of the corner of my eye I saw someone moving just inside the studio. Probably Harry, watching for us and getting ready to complain about how we were all late (except I wasn't-he's just always obscenely early and thinks being right on time means you're late).

"Danny, you're looking good," the reporter said. She was your average young girl, wearing skinny jeans, a t-shirt, and a scarf "How is life as a taken lad?"

"It's great, yeah," I said. "Kyle's back in Ireland again for now, but come summer you'll be seeing her again."

"Permanently?"

"She's moving to England." I nodded.

"So, if I may ask," she said, her smile getting bigger and I knew what was coming, "what was going on at your birthday party?"

I laughed. "Here's one thing you have to know about Kyle, she kinda likes to mess with people." I grinned. "So while we were waiting for the taxi, Kyle noticed the photographers outside and just decided to mess with them and see what would get said about it."

"So she kissed you and then beckoned your bandmate, Harry Judd, over and looked like she was going to kiss him, too."

"But she wouldn't have. I knew it, Harry knew it, we all did."

"What about Harry's girlfriend, Liz? How did she feel about all of this happening when she wasn't there?"

"Oh Liz was fine. She trusts Harry. And Kyle told Liz about it the next day so Liz wouldn't be blindsided if anything was published. I'm sure Harry told her about it, too, but Kyle wanted to tell Liz herself." In my head I just laughed because I knew Harry wouldn't have been able to tell Liz before Kyle did because he was far too pissed that night. But they didn't have to know that.
