Sorry for the very late update! I have an event list posted after this chapter. This chapter is basically a filler for Harry and his job. After that, is the events taking place. I'm mostly trying to catch up with the actual months since it's almost the end of November.

Harry woke up the next morning, rushing to get out the house. He really needs to get going, he texted Emma earlier, asking if he still had his job. Emma texted him back, saying that she told the manager that he was getting LaRay settled in. Harry was grateful that she had done that for him. He was putting on his shoes when the door to LaRay's room opened. Smile barked and was bounding into the living room towards the patio door. He started whining and scratching at the door, he needs to pee. LaRay came into the living room, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes with the knuckles of her hand. She walked over to the door, opened it, and Smile ran, barking happily.

LaRay yawned and bent down to unzip her converse boots. She pushed them off with her toes and lightly pushed them against the wall. Smile came back into the house, panting excitedly and stretching out a yawn of his own. LaRay closed the door behind him, she yawned again and stretched her arms out and over her head then let them drop back down to her sides.

"Hey, sleepyhead." Harry greeted her with a cheerful smile. She looked at him and greeted him with a gesture of her hand, a small sluggish wave. Harry chuckled and had finished slipping his foot into his right shoe. "Niall still sleeping?" He questioned, but he already knew the answer. He just wanted LaRay to tell him that.

"Yeah." She said, Harry just shrugged his shoulders and nodded his head. He grabbed his keys from the coffee table, took his coat off the hook, put it on, and walked to the door. "You gonna check to see if you still got your job?"

"Yep, hopefully, I still do." Harry replied, fixing his hair up into his man-bun, and opening the door.

"Well, good luck." LaRay said smiling and picking up her boots. "C'mon, Smile, lets go back to bed." She said before walking back to her room. Harry yelled that if isn't back in an hour or so that he still has his job, LaRay yelled back a simple reply, more along the lines of, "OK! JUST GO BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY LOSE IT FOR GOOD!"

Harry laughed and closed the door, locking it. He walked to his car, got in it, and started it up. Pulling out of his driveway, he turned on the radio and casually nodded his head to the music of Classic Rock'n'Roll. Even though he's nodding his head to the music, he couldn't help but think that he's lost his job and has to look for another. He doesn't want to do that, it's difficult to find a good job around here.

He parked in his usual spot in front of the bakery. Turned off his car and opened the door, making the music from the radio stop. He got out and closed the door, pressing the button on his keys to lock his door. He jogged into the bakery, making the bell ring and signaling Emma that someone has arrived.

Emma walked into the front and stopped behind the cash register, staring at Harry.

"Hey, Emma." He said sheepishly.

"Where in the blue hell have you been?" She responded by placing her hands on the glass counter and leaning on it.

"Home."

"Doing what?" Emma snapped.

"Getting LaRay settled in." He said softly, taking off his coat and putting it on the coat rack.

"Really? That's all?" Emma replied incredulously. Harry nodded his head, which caused her to let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry, I really am, but I had to get her settled in."
