A jingle broke the thin thread of silence. Rin looked into te direction of the door, a phone strap hanging from her fingers as she greeted the familiar figure. Tsubaki waved a hand in reply and gave a short whistle. making his way through the souvenir displays and into the spinning rack she found amusement in.
"What are you looking at?" Tsubaki asked curiously, peeking from her shoulders, "Straps?"
"Phone straps, actually." Rin answered, twirling a red phone strap with a mascot hanging from it on her finger, "I like this one."
Tsubaki examined the phone strap that Rin has acknowledged, the raccoon design was indeed cute. It was a normal raccoon holding a red Japanese parasol and a cherry blossom on one of its ears. He chuckled at her choice, it was something that he could imagine a grade-schooler would buy.
"Surprisingly, you're pretty childish, huh?" Tsubaki chuckled, stretching his words and snatching the strap away from her grasp, Rin uttered a surprised squeak in reply. "It's cute though, really."
"Pot calling kettle black," Rin huffed, crossing her arms and waiting for Tsubaki to give her strap back, "Give it back, Tsubaki."
The silver haired man only grinned cheekily, stretching his arms away from the girl. Rin narrowed her eyes at his childish act, she sighed before turning her back away from him.
"Not gonna grab it back?" Tsubaki teased, a glint of mischief on his amethyst eyes.
Rin gave him a glare, sighing as she grabbed a clone of the strap in Tsubaki's hand from the rack. "They mass-produced things like these, you know."
Tsubaki pouted, slipping the strap back into one of the hooks on the rack, "You're no fun, Rin~" The grown man whined
Rin only looked back at him with blank eyes, walking towards the counter to make her purchase. The cashier lady greeted her goodbye once she walked out of the door with a white plastic bag full of goodies. Tsubaki followed suit, hands in his pockets as he tiptoed trying to take a peek on the white plastic bag. Rin noticed this and moved her hand away as he whined in protest.
"Tsubaki! Rin!"
Tsubaki jogged up ahead of her as Masaomi shouted to them. Rin quicken her step, careful not to trip over anything. A hand tapped on her shoulder and snuck through the fold on her arm, gently tugging them and urging them to walk faster. Rin looked up to see a pair of eyes she had come to know quite well.
"Morning," Azusa greeted with a smile, happiness was laced on his purplish orbs, "What did you buy?"
Rin opened her plastic bag to let him have a peek, "Just a couple of snacks and souvenirs to give the folks back home."
"One for Louis too?"
Rin nodded in reply, holding out a pack of herbal tea with elegant swirls of silver on its package, "Of course."
"Oi! You two lover birds! Get the hell over here quick, we're about to depart!" Yusuke yell on top of his lungs, his fiery hair really did match with his personality like a lock to a key.
Azusa jolted, urging Rin to walk faster and yet still keeping his hold on her, Rin looked up to see a streak of red painting the other's pale cheek. Rin looked away, the pitter patter of the rain outside matched with the quiet thump of her pulse, a flock of winged creatures dancing on her stomach and heart aflutter.
If his hand wasn't so warm, she might think that this was all just another daydream.

Droplets of water kissed her window chastely, leaving behind a trail of water as it dripped down the drain. Light tapping sound of the rain against her window almost lulled her back to sleep. She feel sleepiness kissed the back of her eyelids, prompting them to close and fly her off to dreamland once more. The sound of train against its tracks was lullaby to her ears.
