III. Let Me Try

The photoshoot ended well.

Models are storming around the location in their bath robes after doing a couple of poses, some decided to stay out from the world and cave in their rooms while some decided to flirt and change phone numbers with a certain pop-star. Wait, no scratch that. The correct one was pop-stars. Both Haruki and Fuuto were there in flesh and the girls are just jumping in joy.

Asakura Fuuto was a well-known pop-star who started out young -- and by young, I mean very very young. Some models are swarming around him like a flock of fruit flies trying to get closer to a flower. But no, calling that cheeky devil a flower is just a compliment and I would rather skin myself than complimenting that bastard. Yes, I know very well his last name is Asahina (his real last name which Yusuke unplesantly grumbled when I mentioned him) meaning that he would be my little brother.

Itou Haruki was another thing though. Girls stopped trying to cling around him when he directly refused them and he already went back probably for another gig. Sure, the fight didn't end that easily and believe me -- girls in love are a pain to handle. Fuuto seemed to be enjoying all the attention they were giving, sending sweet smiles and love-waves everywhere. But the sick thing is that he's only fourteen! And the female specimens cooing sweet words to him are mostly over sixteen years old! Heck, Krystal was already twenty.

I sighed and instantly left after the crew was done removing all off the blotchy substances they applied all over my face. The mascara stings actually, I think one of them poked me in the eye while they brushed it over my lashes earlier. Ouch.

"Rin, great job for today."

I turned towards the voice, giving a polite nod before even recognizing who said that. "You too."

When I finally looked up, I realized Itou Haruki was sitting nearby with a thick paper in hand and offering me a kind smile. I thought he left already but it turned out he hasn't left the place yet. The paper in his hands contained freshly printed out words, maybe a drama script? Or a contract?

"Oh. this?" He chuckled and pointed to the papers he was holding. I never asked but maybe something in my eyes indicated to him that I was curious, "it's a drama script it's about two -- Ah, I shouldn't have probably told you, the drama hasn't aired yet."

"No it's fine," I shook my head, "it was my fault for being curious, I'm sure they will announce the drama not long after anyway."

He raised a brow, "I never took you to be the type to watch dramas?"

"A lot of people took me as something I'm not," I shrugged, "it's the perk of being not-open to medias but in fact, I do watch dramas occassionally."

"You're indeed very secretive, Hoshino Rin." He gave me a small smile, "not a lot of people kew you very well, even inside the agency."

I shrugged once again, "Well that's that right? I kind of like how people make assumptions."

"How so?"

"I don't know." I turned to leave, "will you please excuse me? I need to hurry for my next job."

"Ah, yes. My apologies for keeping you behind."

"It was fine."

So I turned and left the scene, the small chat was pleasant. Ever since I've worked in the spotlight, I've learned a few things about my fellow models and actors. Pop-star are something between them, they would sing and dance but they also do other stuff like modelling and sometimes starring in a drama. They interact with their fans often, I guess. And there are a few types of them in the field -- the cocky, the nice, and the perfect. You could already know from the blunt titles who fit in what categories and whatnot.
