The murky water swirled in a spiraling motion as her hand stirred them. The spoon dropped into the plate with a noticeable clank. The blonde haired girl sighed, picking the warm glass up to her hold, gazing at the grey-tinted sky with rumbling thunder clouds. Tiny droplets of water hit the glass with a quiet yet ringing sound. Rin sipped on her tea with a sigh, savoring the taste of cherry blossom and black tea staining her tastebuds. The calming almost therapeutic repetitive sound of water and the growling clouds filled her ears.

The sound of steps on the staircase, awoken her from her trance:

"Rin-san?"

Rin looked up to see a soaked figure in Bright Centrair uniform. Iori smiled back, a towel hung loosely on his arms as he squeezed the excess water off of his blazer — he was left with his shirt and dress pants. Rin waved a hand in reply, stretching her legs out on the unoccupied couch, while she still had the chance. Iori threw the towel into a nearby laundry basket, he was now half dry and he took a seat next to her.

"A day off?"

Rin shook her head, dropping the cup on the coffee table softly, "The shoot got cancelled, the location was completely drenched and I got soaked as well."

Iori smiled in reply, noticing her fresh out of her drier and hair still damp. She was dressed in boho patterned shorts, a black tank top and ivory knitted oversized sweater. Her hair was pulled back into a halfhearted ponytail. She sighed into the cushion of the couch, rolling on her stomach. Iori chuckled at the scene, stepping away before he was reminded by something.

"Ah, Rin-san," Iori halted on his steps, his dark grey hair sticking to his temples and forehead as the result of being drenched in the rain, "Actually, I have something that I need to confess."

Rin cocked her eyebrows, rolling back to her previous position, she eyed the boy with curious eyes, "What do you mean?"

"I heard you that night when Louis came to pick you up," Iori looked away, "I happen to encounter you two after I got back, anyway, I'm sorry that I eavesdropped your conversation."

Rin exhaled a sharp breath, "How much did you hear?"

"Almost everything of it."

"Well, I suppose it was an accident, no one is to blame." Rin sighed, brushing back the baby hairs framing her forehead. She drank her tea until the last drop before putting down the cup with a silent clink. "It's fine Iori-san, I'm not mad at all after all, it's not your fault."

Iori only smiled in relief, greeting her farewell as he disappeared in a turn where the elevator are resides. He's probably on his way to wash up from the rain, knowing him, it was probably caused after he tried to shelter the patch of violets growing from the monstrous wind. Rin only glanced at the garden, noticing an odd piece of fabric covering little purple flowers that used to be there and proved her point correct.

Rin rolled on her back, the cup of tea now empty. She grabbed a cushion from nearby, hugging it close towards her chest. The sound and smell of the rain made her mind hazy — she could almost smell the crisp and fresh aftertaste of the rain, hearing the dripping sounds of water was hypnotic. She sighed, stretching her arms out to touch the cold glass, following the trails of one fallen droplet. She leaned into the cushion and exhaled. Quiet moments like these are precious to her — moments when she doesn't need to think, to act, and she could just stay quiet and laze around without a purpose or meaning. It was almost like a healing time from her everyday hectic life.
