It has been one week already since I started studying with Daniella, I loved the thought of seeing her every day again after classes but... It was fucking hell! All we talked about was calculus and I was too scared to say anything stupid and make her feel uncomfortable around me, I even avoided looking at her too much and making eye contact, which is quite difficult, Daniella is the definition of perfection.

"You're going to fail," she said sighing looking at the clock that marked 5 minutes to the end of detention. "Seriously Anna, I've been explaining this to you for the nth time."

"It's not my fault, this is hard as hell," I said genuinely crossing my arms.

"I don't get it," She crossed her arms as well. "I've given you this second chance, G-d knows I have better things to do than teaching you basic calculus formulas, I shouldn't even care about whether or not you pass the quiz and it seems you don't as well."

"I'm taking this very seriously," I said averting my eyes to the table feeling slightly embarrassed.

"You have one week left and you haven't learned 1/3 of the stuff you need to pass, at this rate you won't make it." The bell rang before I could say anything back, this was way harder than I have anticipated, I'm terrible at numbers and I can't memorise anything at all. I started to pick my stuff to leave. "Have you been studying at home?" I just nodded making her sigh again.

And to make things worse it started raining outside, October was already in and it was the first time it was raining since last winter, I didn't have an umbrella so I had to walk in the rain, could my life get even worse?

I looked at the window then at her, she raised one eyebrow hitting straight on what I was trying to get at.

"Fine," she said sighing for the nth time this day alone.

Guess what? Yo girl is getting a ride home. *inserts emoji with sunglasses*

Ok, I'm sorry.

We sprinted a little to her car in the parking lot trying to not get us too wet... From the rain, of course.

But me being the clumsy potato I am, almost slipped all the way to her car, rather than sprinting I was more like skating through the wet pavement while Miss Evans gracefully strolled effortlessly with her high heels.

Thank god I made it alive. "I seriously thought you were going to fall there," Daniella said with her eyebrows furrowed turning on the engine. "If you did I wouldn't let you get in here, getting my seats all wet and gross."

"Thanks, that's really nice of you," I said ironically while trying to find out how to turn on the car radio. When I finally did, it turned up on the last radio station she had on before turning it off which was... News, gross. "I didn't think you'd be the boring kind of person," I said trying to get a reaction out of her but failing.

I shuffled through the stations seeing if I could find one that was decent when the 80's hits came up and the familiar "Don't Stop Believing" song by Journey started playing halfway through already, it was one of my favourite songs.

"I love this song," I said singing the lyrics terribly.

"Would never have thought you'd like this type of music."

"I'm a box full of surprises," I repeated what I have said to Soph earlier in which she responded by rolling her eyes.

Sadly my house was starting to appear at the end of the road which meant I had to leave already. She parked in front of it waiting for me to get the hell out, it was still raining so I had to sprint a bit.

"Uh thanks for the ride," I said awkwardly, she just nodded her head. "If I pass the quiz..." She interrupted me with a small laugh, rude. "As I was saying, if I pass the quiz, other than forgiving me for what I have done, I would like to ask for a wish as well." She lifted one of her brows but before she could say something I completed. "It's nothing like kissing or dates or something like that, I promise."

"Aren't you asking for too much already?"

"I thought that maybe if I had something more interesting to look forward to it would motivate me to study harder," I said interwinding my fingers. "Or would you rather have me for another year?"

"Fine," she said rolling her eyes. "No kisses, no hugging, no touching, no dates, got it?"

"Ay, captain," I said saluting her in which she responded with another eye roll. "See you tomorrow!" I said opening the door and flying to my doorsteps.

I was happy and nothing could possibly change that, except the fact that today is Friday and I just said 'see you tomorrow', making a fool out of myself for the nth time this day alone.

I don't know why I'm still insisting on this impossible quest but I just couldn't let go, it's like the harder it gets the more I want it, I know I might suffer a lot but I still want to give it a shot, as Ed mentioned before, I don't want to regret not taking action.

This weekend I'm going to study my brain cells out and next Tuesday I'll ace that calculus quiz!
