EDITED 12.20.15:
"Ohh rose!" Darlene screeched, "we found him. Your soon to be boy toy." I shrugged acting as if I've done this. And I have 5 times to be exact.
Darlene rushed over with the other girls and shoved a boy, which ended me falling almost. A hand grabbed my arm and pulled me up front.
The boy looked like a junior, tall, nice looking if I was that interested in just looks, and male, I guess.
I can hear you yelling for something better but am I gonna waste my words on something so irrelevant? No.
Looks are always decieving, trust me.
The boy stuck his hand out, I stood up straighter composing myself. "Hey, my name's Lucian. I just transferred here from Cali," he spoke in a deep voice..
Nothing to fall over heels for, all guys change at puberty.
I stuck my hand out, unconcerned and a bit diva-like, "Rose. Thats about all you want to know."
We shook hands, him giving me a confused look. I gave him my most fake smile and turned to the girls. "Thanks a bunch ladies," I said to them nicely, "really."
Claire giggled, "Oh please rose. We know you don't mean that."
I gave her evil kind of smile and she looked a bit scared, before it went back to her witchy self.
"Stop doing that smile," Giselle pointed out, her arms crossed. I dropped it, turning back to Lucian.
"Luc, may I call you Luc? I was wondering if I can see you later? I have to have a word with the girls for just one sec," I say sweetly.
He grinned, "Yeah later."
I exited with the group and headed for our actual class, while they were following like slow rats, for once.
Thank god, our teacher was absent. I gestured the girls to the back and they came reluctantly.
"What the hell was that?" hissed Ashlee.
"I needed to talk," I told them truthfully.
"Puh-lease. That wasn't it. We're not stupid," said Darlene, rolling her eyes.
Just a little stupid, no?
"Guys I-" I begin.
"Look just don't do anything to ruin this. This is your last chance to actually stay with the guy for more than three months," interrupted Darlene.
"This is your life," tsked giselle.
"And FYI we aren't guys ?!" added Ashlee, flicking her hair over her shoulder.
"I dont want you guys, uhm girls picking them for me," I tell them.
"Excuse me?" hissed Darlene, "without our help, you'd be the loser of the school. Without our help-"
"I wouldn't be the monster that you've created," I tell them blandly. A swift pain filled my cheek as Darlene looked at me, furiously.
"That. Is what you are," Darlene sneered, "just a slap to the face. You were so easy, you didn't see a damn thing coming."
"Let's go ladies," interrupted Giselle, pulling an angry Darlene away, leaving me to wallow in my own pain. A tear slipped down my cheek, then another. And one by one, as the students left me, giving me no look back, but pure gossip pouring through their mouths.
I wouldn't be surprised what crap they spread tomorrow.
I held my cheek, feeling the pain lessen, from my skin but not from my heart.
