Chapter 2 Jessie Wilson "My friend the Hunter"
Im just going to start off saying that the story I am going to tell is part of the world that almost all humans know nothing about, but a few unlucky ones (me and Austin Madox) came to know all about.
Now Austin Madox (known as Madox) is a rare human that is called a Hunter. His family has been these "Hunters" since the beginning of time. When ever a hunter dies these families place their oldest child between the ages 18 to 25 to be sent to hell. It is one of the greatest and most respected things a child of the Hunters could ever do for their family. Now when the return (if they return) they will be given the gift of sight and super human strength that is used only when needed and certain other skills and powers that help them protect all light and darkness on earth, but here is the catch, once you get called a true Hunter there is no going back, no friends, no family, or even a place to call home. Now how I came to know Madox was very interesting, some call it my unlucky fate, but I call it one of the most interesting things that could ever happen to me. Now as a non-Hunter I can be easily killed by anything Madox fights and to be truthful I shouldn't even be able to see most of what he fights. I guess this is why people call me unlucky since we were kinda forced to stay together, unless Madox wanted to let me be killed, because my sight makes me a small but easy target unless I act like I notice nothing different about them. (Which can be very hard when you are looking into the eyes of some killer angel.).
So we live life very interesting and I can tell you that I have almost been killed by vampires, werewolves, demons, angels, and the always lovely mermaids. (And remember I am a non-Hunter). Many people would have left this dangerous life, but I can't, call me crazy, or stupid, but I just can't, I don't know what it is and I don't care, I love it. Maybe just....maybe it is the fact that I'm afraid not of the creatures or monsters that can kill me with one look but it is the bitter taste of loneliness that I would feel again if I left Madox's company. Yeah, that's it.... It's has to be it.... There's nothing else keeping me here.... Austin Madox is my only friend, to bad my only friend can be the death of me. But enough sadness on with how Madox and I met.
