"Chapter 3" "Angels are not always good"
When most people think of angels they think beautiful women in white dresses with golden halos as pure white wings flying about helping the living and singing praises. Well.....that's not true. I know I know you are yelling at me right now and saying I don't understand anything, well I would love to believe you, but I seen them. There are three types of angels the good, the bad, and the soul sucking almost demon ones, there might be others but that was all Madox told me about at the moment. He try's to hide some things like this from me hoping that I would be safer. Once again that's not true, he tells me nothing and when certain things come our way I nearly die. ( you would think he would just tell me everything.)
Now these angels you would think the good ones would be nice to the living but not all of them are . They are jealous of the living and wants nothing to do with us and....makes it very known. This is the first time I met Madox. He was walking around my research center where I was working with some flowers.
"Are you lost sir?" I ask the tall slender blonde man that had a strange sinister feel about him that made me think twice about walking any closer. He turned to look at me and just stared at me for a second, scanning me with these strange eyes, one electric blue and the other sharp green. Finally after an uncomfortable silence he smiles and says in a deep tone.
"No I am just where I need to be." He turns his back towards me before he starts walking around again looking and studying the flowers around us.
"What's your name?" He asks with out looking at me.
"Jessie Wilson," I reply not taking my eyes off this strange visitor dressed in all black with a trench coat and black army boots, "yours?"
"I feel something stirring," he says as he stops suddenly and stares off in the distance, "but I see nothing."
Taking a step back I start to feel the urge to call security. "Who are you an why are you here?" I say a little louder trying to get his attention back on me.
"Why am I here?" He asks leaning down to smell a flower, "that's the question even I want to know, but not all questions are answered are they Jessie?"
Okay....... This guy is crazy. I know I should have walked away and got security, but this guy seemed to need help and I just couldn't leave him alone so I played along.
"What questions do you want answered, maybe I could help." I say walking closer to him.
"You think I'm crazy don't you Jessie Wilson?"
"N-n-no," I stutter hoping he isn't easily angered, "I don't think that."
He smiles then starts to look around again, "it's okay most people think I'm crazy, it's just normal," Then he stops and faces me and says, "but you are a horrible lier."
Ouch......that hurt he doesn't even know me! "I am a great lier thank you!" I fire at him without thinking.
He shakes his head at me chuckling, "is that something to be proud of?" He asks softly.
That takes me aback a little, "no- no I guess it is not."
He nods in agreement then walks up to me, he leans forward and for a moment I think he is going to kiss me so I take a step back when he grabs my arms to keep me from moving when I feel his breath on my ear.
"We are not alone," he whispers to me, "They are watching and if you want to live run when I let go, because if you don't you might see things you wish you haven't."
Shocked I wrestle myself out of his grip, "now wait just one-". I start to say when an explosion cuts me off, the stranger and myself are blown off our feet, separating both of us. I was thrown into the building side of the green house, knocking the wind out of me and when I was able to look up what I saw I could never get from my brain even if I tried. A creature that looked like a women with large wings, but her hands had sharp claws that were an inch long and fangs....bloody fangs.....I couldn't see the stranger and I suddenly hoped he was alright. The women turned her head towards me an let out a painful wail. Then I heard his voice yelling, "get away from him! I am over here! Jessie when ever you think you can I would run!" Then blackness.
