Epilogue: The start of a new horror

Day in and day out all I see is potential victims and criminals. Not much like my father before me who only cared about those he loved dearly, I try to up the ante and do my best to serve anyone around me.

But even that wasn't enough. I may try to be like some kind of super hero but reality is a b*tch.

For instance, a man who had his wife and child robbed from him by sheer circumstance and wrong decisions had to witness his only living blood taken from him.

People say he was a nut job for keeping some dolls in his house to replace the ones he lost but frankly I can relate to him.

Now this priest claims to exorcise him of his demons? I don't buy that. It's one thing to call a man crazy but it is another to say he was possessed. Haven't he suffered enough?

I know what I saw that day. There was this girl holding the doll. I tried to calm her down and ask if she needs help or if she was ok but...

I know what I saw. She wasn't a spirit. I don't believe in that shit. She was there. Flesh and blood. Crying, not knowing where to go or what to do. Clutching a doll in her hand...

"A doll, huh?" I thought to myself as I examined the box containing all the information in that incident. The bottom of the box gave way making the pictures and other evidences lie scattered on the floor.

I saw the doll wrapped in plastic. The blood smeared over her beautiful face. Her eyes seem to tell me she knew what happened. A silent witness.

"I must be out of my mind." I said as I placed her inside the box along with the other files.

"I'll always stay with you..." the doll said. I didn't know it talked. It creeped me out a bit and had me head on out the nearest exit. But I felt rather compelled to look back. As it said:

"I'll never leave you...."

"Must be broken..." I said to myself and trying to strengthen my nerves.

"I'm not broken mister policeman."

I turned around and saw a young girl holding a notebook and the doll. She looked at me with a forced smile. Her tears fell from her eyes.

"Are you my next doll?"
