I wake up at 10:28 a.m. without Niall beside me in the bed. I ripped the blankets of the bed with my left hand and I notice the promise ring that Niall gave me at dinner. I stop and I admire it. Looking at it brings a warm smile to my face. I get up, brush my teeth, and I can smell a yummy breakfast waiting for me in the kitchen. I hurry down stairs to find a big pancake breakfast waiting for me. I smile to myself, but I notice no one is home.
I shrug it off and begin to eat the food. I shove six pancakes down my throat because I am so hungry from dinner last night. All I had was salad and wine. As I'm reaching for the bacon, the door opens to reveal Niall, Louis, Jennah, Harry, and Zayn. "Hey Jennah!!" I said with a mouth full of bacon. I jump up and run to give her a hug. "Hey Katherine! I haven't seen you in ages!" She says and returns the hug. I turn back to the table of food, Louis has his jaw dropped in shock. "What?" I ask. "Did you eat this?" Harry asks me. I nod yes. "Well Louis made this for Jennah to eat after we got back from the airport."
I emedently(?) feel horrible! "I'm so sorry Louis. I didn't know!" I exclaim. "It's ok," Jennah starts, "I already ate." She flashes me a smile and she makes me feel better.
I sit back down and finish my breakfast. I put my plate in the sink and join Niall on the couch. I sit on his lap and he wraps his arms around my stomach. "Babe," Niall starts,"You feel bigger than usual. Are you sure you aren't preggo?!" I sit up and look back at Niall. "Is that a fat joke?" I tease. His eyes widen and his face looks surprised. "No! No! I was just joking!" He exclaims. "Hahaha, I know Niall. I was kidding too." I say and peek his lips. I lay back down and there's a knock at the door.
Harry answers it and seems surprised. Danielle is standing in the doorway like this is her house. "Um, hi Dani. I don't think Liam is up yet." Harry says and lets her in and closes the door. "I didn't think so, but I wanted to know if I could hang out with you guys today?" Dani asks. "Sure," Louis says,"By the way, this is Jennah. My girlfriend. Jennah, this is Danielle, Liam's girlfriend." They both say hi and shack hands. Dani comes over and sits on the couch next to me and Niall. She smiles, then her face goes pale and she gasps! "Katherine! Is that an engagement ring?!" She almost yells. Everyone is surprised and gets up to see for themselves. "Nice job, Niall." Harry says and gives Niall a wink.
"It's just a promise ring guys." I say and back them off. "Well, congrats you too." Jennah says. I smile and look back at Dani, she's giving me the dirtiest look! I thought she was my friend?! I guess she's just jealous. I awkwardly smile and look away.
After sitting in awkward silence, Louis decides to turn the telly on. We agree on football, then a tired Liam comes walking down the steps and Danielle runs straight to him and plants a big, wet kiss on his check and his face lights up. She turns her head back to me and gives me a smirk like she's acting like she's better than me. It's like she's not even the same Danielle that I meet yesterday!
Her and Liam walk over to the fridge and she whispers something in his ear and he slowly nods. She giggles and walks up the stairs. I wait a minute and I get up and follow her. By the way she's acting, I feel like she's about to steel something. I creep down the hall like I'm back in my agent days. I hear her digging through something in someone's room. The noise seems the loudest outside Niall's and my room. The door is open and I peek inside. She's snooping in my night stand! After a few minutes, she grunts in frustration like she is suppose to find something that isn't there.
"Excuse me. What are you doing...?" I ask. She stops, but doesn't look up or turn around. "Liam asked me to get something for him from Niall." She obviously lies. "Well, that's 'my' night stand." I say. Now she stops and shuts the drow. She turns on her heels and forces a bad smile. "Sorry, I couldn't tell." She lies again. "But my phone, my Pink lotion, and ear rings are on top of it!" I say in an obvious tone.
Dani walks over to me and pushes me up against the wall. She grabs my wrists and holds me down. "I didn't ask what was on the stupid night stand." She whispers and gets all up in my grill. She flings my wrists down and walks away. I grab my wrist in pain, she left red marks from holding on too tight.
I wait a moment, then walk down the stairs back to Niall. "Are you ok, love?" He asks concernedly. "Yeah, but Dani is acting different. She went up stairs and starts looking through my night stand." I say. "Maybe she left something from when she was helping you get ready last night." Niall suggests. I shrugged and sat beside him. We watched the football game, with the boys cheering every time their favorite team made a goal. Jennah came over and sat right in between Niall and I.
"You know what would be cool?," she started, "If you guys got married at the beach." I giggled and Niall chuckled. "Jennah, it's just a promise ring." Niall laughed. I laughed at Niall laughing, Jennah laughed at me laughing, Louis laughed at Jennah laughing, Harry laughed at Louis laughing, then Liam laughed at Harry laughing, finally Zayn started laughing at Harry laughing. Then we laughed even more because now everyone was laughing. But the only person who wasn't, was Danielle. I swear its like her evil twin is here today!
I heard a beep, beep from up stairs, so I broke the laughter and walked to my phone in my room. I unplugged it and headed back to the couch. I plopped back down and read the text.
