"How many people live at your house?" Hyun asked as Jin fiddled with the straps of the new car seat. Namjoon and Jin had just picked up Hyun and were taking her home for the first time.
"Just the two of us, and now you too." Jin smiled, finally securing the buckles of the car seat.
"There's no other kids?" Hyun asked, her eyes becoming sad.
"No sweetie, I'm sorry. But our friends come visit all the time and they'll love playing with you!" Jin turned around to smile at his newly appointed daughter from the front seat as Namjoon began to drive home.
Hyun talked the couple's ears off, telling them anything and everything they needed to know on the fascinating subject of Hyun.
"We're here!" Jin clapped his hands together in excitement.
"But I wasn't finished." Hyun said politely. She was telling Jin and Namjoon about the time she rode a horse. The new parents couldn't say no to the sweetness of their daughter. They spent the next ten minutes in the car listening to Hyun ramble on about ponies.
Namjoon finally found a way to get the overly talkative four year out of the car by telling Hyun he would play horses with her if they could go inside. She happily agreed, letting her fathers unbuckle Hyun's seat and welcome their new family addition into her new home.

"And this is yo-"
"Oh my goodness! It's so big!" Hyun yelled, running around her room in circles.
"Do you like it?" Namjoon asked sitting down on her bed while Jin leaned against the door frame. Hyun nodded happily, a giant smile on her face.
"I know there's not really anything in here yet but tomorrow the three of us are going to go shopping for all the things you need." Jin explained, "And I know you wanted a pink room but we wanted to let you choose which shade of pink you like the best."
Hyun ran across the room at Namjoon, flinging her body into his and almost knocking him backwards on the bed from the sudden force.
"You're the best family I could ever ask for." Hyun engulfed Namjoon in a hug, Jin soon joining in.
They spent the rest of the night adjusting Hyun to her new environment. They sat down at dinner together, having Hyun's favorite food and after dinner they sat down and watched a movie. Hyun fell asleep halfway through, her head leaning on Namjoon as she sat in between him and Jin.
"I think she's had a long day." Jin whispered, not wanting to wake the sleeping child between them. Namjoon nodded in response.
"It's only been a day but I already love her, Joon." Jin continued, pushing a strand of hair away from Hyun's fluttering eyelids.
"I do too. We're going to be a great family."
"We are a great family." Jin leaned over carefully and pressed a kiss to his boyfriend's lips.
They finished the movie before carrying Hyun to bed. Namjoon laid her small body down and Jin tucked her in before they both kissed her forehead gently to say goodnight. The pair lingered in the doorway for a moment, staring lovingly at the sleeping girl. They couldn't believe she was actually their's.
"I'm pooped." Jin plopped onto their bed as soon as he entered the bedroom.
"You're pooped?" Namjoon questioned, raising an eyebrow at his love's word choice.
"Yes, pooped. Now shush." Namjoon laughed at Jin as he began to strip down to his underwear and discard his dirty clothes in the hamper before climbing into bed.
"Joon?"
"Hmm?"
"Take my clothes off."
"What?" Namjoon almost choked on his own spit. It's not that he'd never heard the elder say that (which he's not complaining that it's said either by any means) but it was entirely out of context.
"That's not what I meant idiot, I'm just lazy." Jin rolled his eyes.
"There you go calling me an idiot again." Namjoon sighed, helping Jin out of his shirt and jeans.
"The hottest idiot I've ever seen." Jin smiled, trying to redeem himself.
"Sure."
"Love you!"
"Yeah, yeah. Go to sleep." Namjoon grumbled, shutting off the light before wrapping Jin in his arms.
A few minutes later the pitter-patter of feet was heard coming towards the couple's bedroom. Jin had already fallen asleep but Namjoon heard the footsteps, almost having a heart attack when Hyun appeared in front of him.
"I'm scared." Hyun whispered, tearing threatening to spill from her eyes.
"Hyun, you're okay. Would you like to sleep in our bed?" Namjoon asked, unwrapping himself from Jin to let Hyun in the middle. She snuggled into Namjoon's side and he wrapped an arm around Jin, draping it over Hyun in the process.
"Now go to sleep." Namjoon kissed Hyun's forehead lightly.
"Goodnight, Dad."
"Goodnight, Hyun." Namjoon swore he'd never smiled wider.
