"Why?" Daryl asked, letting himself in.

  "What are you talking about?"

"That story. Do you really expect  me to believe it?" Well I was hoping you would. I thought. I held my ground. Maybe Daryl would believe me.

"Yes. Why wouldn't you? I said, looking down. Silence filled the tent and I looked back at Daryl to see him eyeing me carefully.

"Just be up early and will head out to your camp. Okay?"

"Okay." I replied queitly. Daryl stepped out and I zipped my tent up.  I layed down in my blankets and drifted off to sleep.

The sun was not up yet and I was up and running. I had my knife on my belt and I looked out around the gate. Walkers everywhere. Atleast this place was secure. I heard a whistle and looked up to see Daryl had been watching. He climbed down.

"How long have you been up?" I questioned.

"'Bout two hours. Hold on, I've got to get someone to take over gaurd duty." Daryl walked into the prison and I stayed out and sat down. Just abosrbing in the air that smelled like dead corpse. I sighed, missing the days before the apoclypse. A few seconds later Daryl walked out and a sleepy Glenn followed behind. I felt bad, but brushed it off.

Daryl motiomed for me to follow. Glenn shut the gate beind us and climbed up to the tower. Daryl and I took a right towards the highway. I remember my camp being some-what near there. I told Daryl the directions to where I thought my camp was, even though I didn't think he'd know what I was talking about, but he suprisingly knew. We walked in silence until Daryl seemed to hear a noise because he turned and aimed his crossbow ready to fire. Next out came ten walkers from the woods. Daryl took out 3 with his crossbow easily, but as they got too close to Daryl for my liking I drew my knife and started to make some use of myself.

As I stabbed the last walker who was about to make a meal of Daryl, he turned and nodded towards me. Thanking me. I returned a small smile. Then we continued our short journey towards my old camp.

"So, what about you? What's your story before all of this?" I asked motioning my hands around.

"Not important."

 "But I-" I started.

"I said it's not important!" Daryl barked back at me and hurried foward. I paused, stunned by his out burst and quietly followed behind him. I guess were making this a thing for us then. I asking stupid questions, trying to be friends with Daryl just to have him storm off.

I finally caught up to Daryl. Just following slowly and quietly behind him. Daryl slowed down a bit though. I looked at him hoping to see him looking back, ready to apologize, but instead he held a heavy gaze foward. I looked closer into the distance to see more walkers swarming my camp. Daryl took my wrist and we ducked behind a bush.
