I felt my body being roughly shaken and was about to tell James to bugger off when I heard Dom's light voice ring through the dorms,

"Let's go people! Up! Up! Up!" She sang. I begrudgingly pulled myself up and realized the time. 8:46 read the clock, jumping up in panic. I felt my body relax a moment later, feeling refreshed and better than before.
"Cleaning charm" Em said from behind me, with her wand pointed at my back. I smiled gratefully and pulled on my skirt that went to the middle of my thighs and my plain white button up. I put my robes on over it and pulled on plain black slip-on shoe things. I wasn't much into fashion, and I prefer not to spend much time on my appearance. My waist length black hair was very wavy from last nights French braid, which I slept in. Brushing it straight, I pulled out an elastic from my trunk. Yanking my thick and crazy hair into a ponytail which was exposing a pair of shiny jeweled earrings that James had gotten me for our 14th birthday back in May. I stepped out of our dorms and hopped down the stairs, only to be greated by my brother and his gang. James and Aiden were standing around, now joined by my cousin Fred, his two best mates, Andrew Parker and Spencer McClaggen. Spencer gave me a playful wink before stepping closer to me.

"You look hot as usual, Josie" He said, towering over my short figure. He was quite tall. I pushed him away with a gentle shove and smirked.

"Oh Spence, you can be such a playboy." I snickered seeing Andrew silently laughing in the background.

He then slung his arm over my shoulders. "Your just jealous I'm not your playboy." I chuckled lightly at James ' slightly agape mouth as he moved forward to stand between us. This only made me laugh harder as I grabbed my books and headed out the portrait hole with everyone. My bag was very light today, as I only had Herbology and Double Charms. I am an absolute dunce at Herbology. Good thing Professor Longbottom actually likes me. I turned called back to Dom,
"Whatcha got?" With her grim expression, I could tell it was one her least favorite classes. Probably Potions. An annoyingly familiar arm snaked around my shoulders for the second time this morning.

"No need anyway, you've got me in Herbology." Spencer said through an arrogant expression.

"And Me!" Em squealed.

"Andddd me. As usual." James added, his natural over-protective brother side kicking in. With one pure evil stare at Spence, the pressure on my shoulders was released and saw Spencer move a decent distance away.

"Well, let's get a move on then!" James cried as he grabbed my arm and started to run.

Halfway through double charms was when I dozed off on top of my book. Flitwick was rambling and I just couldn't take it anymore. I subtly felt someone shaking my shoulder gently, but ignored it.

"Josie? Josie!" A gentle voice whispered. "Wake up! Flitwick is coming this way!" But it was too late.

"Miss Potter! Did you not sleep very well?" Flitwick said to me, making me immediately jump up.

"No sir, I didn't." I lied smoothly. He gave me a look before striding off to help another student. Not 3 seconds from when Professor had turned his back, an elbow had made swift contact with my ribs.

"I told you! You should've listened to me!" Aiden practically sang. It took all my willpower to not punch him right then and there, so I looked over to him and said very overly sweet,

"So, what are we learning today?"

"I still don't believe you did it." Angelina said to Em for the 15th time this afternoon. "You, Emily Vance, most advanced girl in our year, top marks in everything, stood up to a teacher?"

"Oh she did it alright." Dom cried, cutting in. "She told Professor Slughorn he was making his Calming Drought incorrectly and then even showed him how to do it!"

A collective, dramatic gasp came from our whole group. "No!" We all screamed in protest.

"Yes" Em replied calmly.

We all just sat in awe for a while before Ange suggested we go down for dinner. So down the hall we walked, lightly chatting.

As we ushered some firsties out of the commons, we jumped down in the chairs and continued talking, hearing only our voices and the crackling of the fire for almost an hour. One by one, our group began filing up to their dorms for some shut-eye. Lastly, it was me and McClaggen.

He jumped from his spot on the chair and hopped right next to me on the couch, his arm finding its way around my waist, pulling me uncomfortably close to him.

"Hello again, sweetheart" He said in his silk smooth voice.

I laughed, amused at his reluctance to get me to be his girlfriend. "Hey there, Spence."

"So when exactly are you going to say yes?"

"Yes what?" I asked, pretending to be confused at his antics.

He looked at me and smiled. "When, dear Josie, are you going to say yes to being my girlfriend?"

As I opened my mouth to reply, an all too familiar voice say groggily from the stairs,
"What's going on here?"
