As my foot collided with his stomach, he took two steps back to regain his balance before smiling at me. "You've just started a war, Potter. You don't know what you're getting yourself into." He chuckled.

"Trust me, I know exactly what I'm getting into." I said with a glare.

As he dove to grab me once more, I darted to his left and raced back down the corridor once more. Abandoning my original route for the common room, I sprinted all the way into the great hall.

Taking my seat and beginning to pile my plate, all of my friends looked at me with smirks and winks.

"A bit flushed, aren't we Josie?" Fred nudged my elbow with his. "How much fun did you have without us?" He winked.

"Been running. Montague. Not fun." I manged to spit out between heavy breaths. Everyone stiffened at his name.

"Did I hear you correctly?" James spat. "You were with Montague?"

"Not by choice. He bloody pinned me up the wall in the corridor and kissed me. The disgusting git."

    Emily gasped. "Jo that's horrible!"

    Dom scoffed. "What a dick."

Andrew laughed, poking me in the ribs. "Jo you are just too irresistible I guess!"

"Oh haha, but seriously, he said that 'I've started a war.' How stupid can you be?" I laughed.

"He's dumber than a box of rocks Josie." James said venomously while stabbing at his potatoes.

"I didn't know there was potatoes!" I cried, looking around the table.

"There's none left, because you were late!" Spencer said with a snicker.

I reached my fork over to James plate and took a scoop of potatoes from right under his nose. He looked up at me, aghast.

   "Those were mine!" He cried.

I laughed at his upset expression. "You've got more! Sharing is caring."

Stepping into the portrait hole, everyone seemed to immediately scatter, reaching for books, quills, parchment, and other school-y things.

"Bloody hell, you've all gone mad!" I laughed.

James grabbed the back of my cloak and pulled me down onto the couch. "Give them a minute, bet you they'll get bored."

"5 sickles and they'll be done in 10 minutes."

"You're on, I think it'll be quicker."

As we patiently waited the entirety of 4 minutes for everyone to get bored of schoolwork, I pressed my 5 sickles into James hand discretely.

"Thank you." He said smugly.

"Oh, shut up."

Sitting around the common room, the gang played exploding snap for hours on end, Aiden always complaining that I was cheating. Maybe I was a little, but that's my little secret. As I got up to go up to bed, Fred tapped my shoulder.

"By the way, James has a secret meeting with Montague tomorrow. But you didn't hear it from me." He said quietly into my ear.

I sighed. "You're the best cousin, Freddie."  And with a hug and a fist bump, I was up the stairs and getting ready for bed. Pre-packing my bag with books for tomorrow, it was a bit heavier than usual with 6 classes ahead of me, as 'O.W.L. Prep' has began. Letting my bag slump to the floor as I slipped quietly into my four-poster, I fell asleep much quicker than usual.

The flurry of snow outside my window the next morning gave me more of a reason not to want to leave my quilted heaven.

"Too cold." I was able to mumble from my burrow of blankets as Angelina urged me to get up.

"Quit being a fool, Jo and get up. You've got Charms first and you can't leave Aiden alone. Remember what happened when you were sick that one time in second year?" Dom sternly pointed out. Damn it, don't want him burning another table.

"Fine, but only for the safety of my fellow peers." I said as I pulled myself out of bed to get ready for the strenuous day ahead of me.

Groggily stepping down the stairs, I called out to Aiden. "Mate let's get a move on. We gotta get this day started sometime." As I grabbed his elbow and dragged him out of the common room.

"Jo, hey, Jo!" He said to me, grabbing my attention. "Slow down a bit, wouldn't you like to grab some breakfast or something?"

"Fine. But can we be a bit quick? I want to get this day over with. " I said flatly before he began to guide me to the great hall, seeing Montague down the same corridor. He glanced up at us, and I was almost sick.

"Well, well, well, and who might I be seeing on this fine morning?" His buddies snickered as he continued. "Potter, how've you been? I've missed you." He said with a wink before him and his buddies began to laugh. Aiden pulled me into the great hall, and with a flip of his favorite finger, we sat down and began to eat.

"What a prick." Aiden stated, eating his eggs solemnly. "He really needs to learn boundaries."

"Oh he'll get what's coming to him." I stated with a smirk. "I heard from a little birdie that James and him are going to have a little chat."

"Bloody hell, Montague doesn't quite know what he's getting into, does he?" He laughed.

"Not quite sure. Come on then, let's go to charms. Try not to burn anything though, ok?" We laughed in unison once more.
