"The ministry is in quite a fuss right now, Josie." Mum said quietly as she stepped closer, her expression anxious and worried. "Muggles are becoming-" she paused to think, "more, uh, shall we say, aware of wizarding presence."

I rolled my eyes. "What does this have to do with me?"

"Josephine! Do not roll your eyes at me!"

  "Mum!"

"This has everything to do with you! You young witches and wizards will be in huge trouble! All of these muggle picture boxes are saving moving pictures of us in action!" She rubbed her forehead. "This is getting completely out of hand.." She trailed off tiredly as she rubbed her temples. "Josie, you just have to be more careful. No more of this. Are we clear?"

"Yes mum. Can I go find my other half now?"

"I expect your father would like to have a talk with you as well."

           Damn it.
~~

As James gave me a look of sympathy, I slowly walked up to where he and dad were talking. Well, let me rephrase that.

I slowly walked up to where James was getting screamed at by dad.

As I stepped into the scene, my father spun over to me and pointed his finger at me.
"And as for you!-"

James stepped in front of him before he could  begin talking to me, "Don't start on her. She did nothing."

Dad stood there, astounded, before mum came rushing in. "We've got to go, Harry. Urgent at the ministry. "

As my mum turned to us quickly and enveloped us into a classic Weasley hug, dad followed suit, whispering to us, "Don't expect to be off the hook."

Saying our goodbyes and realizing it was time for lunch, I told James to save me a seat as I paved my way to the hospital wing to grab something for my goddamned stomach.

Sitting down to lunch and sipping some lemonade, Aiden gave me a funny look as he leaned over to say quietly, "Someone looks a bit pissed." As he motioned to Spencer and James.

"They're both being huge babies if you ask me." I whispered back. James obviously sensed I was talking about him, as he turned to give me a dirty look.

Today was going to be longer than usual.

"Quidditch trials today, mate! Can't miss it!"
Aiden said to James and Andrew, nudging them both. Bloody hell, I've completely forgot. Aiden and Andrew began engaging in a conversation as I drew back a bit, taking James with me.

"Listen, Bud. Snap out of this." I hissed as he looked at the cobblestone floor beneath our feet. "Im not quite sure what he bloody hell is your issue, but you need to get over it soon. It's Quidditch today and I'm not going to play beater with anyone but you. So get it together."

Turning and walking away, I could tell he hadn't moved by the lack of footprints I was hearing.

Stepping into the commons, there was an abundance of lower years all crowded around the table, whispering frantically. As I stepped closer('move out the way, coming through'), the headline was clear as day. I wished I'd never read it.

DISAPPEARING MAN: TRICK OF THE EYE OR EVIDENCE OF MAGIC?

I almost threw up what little lunch I had eaten. As I noticed the non-moving pictures, evidence of a muggle newspaper, I froze.

   This can't be real.

No, of course not. This is some silly muggle seeing things he hadn't really seen. Over reacting. Over thinking. These thoughts clouded my mind as I turned and rushed up the stairs faster than humanly possible to put on my Quidditch gear and prepare for tryouts with James.

~~

The Potter twins were the best beaters in Hogwarts, and that was not changing anytime soon. As we zoomed back and forth across the pitch, bludgers rushing by madly, we tried our best to aim and shoot as we had been doing since second year. Tryouts went better than expected. The only competition that dared to test us was a couple of second years. We knew the spot was ours.

As our group began to trudge up the hill back to the grand ole castle for a fine dinner after a very fine game, I realized I hadn't seen the girls at all today. Beginning to run, yelling back "gotta find the girls!" I jogged down the halls of the castle and turned the corner, only to be stopped by the one person God had blessed me not to have seen recently. And I was alone. With him.

"Hello, gorgeous." Jacob Montague spat as he advanced towards me. I took a quick look at my surroundings and analyzed my way out.
My back is to the corner... If I were to dart right he'd grab my wrist... But if I go left is have a better chance of getting away since he's right handed-

My thoughts were cut off completely as the air was pushed swiftly out of my lungs. My back was against a wall, one arm pinned above my head with the other behind my back, Jacob's face a mere 6 inches from mine.

"So you and Mcglaggen, huh?" He slurred his words ever so slightly. He's intoxicated. "Never thought you were the type."

"It's not really any of your bloody business-" I said in an attempt to wriggle out of his surprisingly tight hold.

"Well that doesn't really matter right now anyways." He slurred once more. "I've got a little score to settle with old James, and I've been waiting to catch you alone for ages." He smiled grimly before pressing his lips to mine.
