Ethan's POV

It was the next morning, August 10th. I kind of like my new job, it's really easy and if all the houses have cute girls, then I wouldn't even count it as a job.

Grayson seemed totally into the girl at the last house, we are visiting them twice a week, so he hasn't seen the last of her.

Alex's POV

School starts August 30th, I am not looking forward to another year at that Catholic School. There's so many rules and I can't wear what I want. I'm going to try to make the best of Sophomore year. Today I was inviting my best friend Leah over for a girls night, we always had sleepovers.

-

I hear my doorbell and I ran over to the door in my onsie and Chanel slippers. I flew the door open and hugged Leah tightly.

"Hey girl! Ready for girl's night?!" Leah smiled ear to ear.

"Of course! Come on in!"

After a few hours of romantic chick flicks, Leah and I decided to get some snacks and sit down and just have our usual girl-to-girl talks. (Who else does this with their friends bc tbh I always do) Leah went on and on about some boy named Andrew and was trying to rub it in my face that she was getting tons of boy attention. She was honestly being a little annoying, but she is my best friend, I still love her.

"Are you ready for the new school year?" I wrinkled my brows.

"Of course not. But there are definitely cute boys there, that should cancel out my stress!" Leah was totally boy crazy. Like all the time.

"I got new pool boys yesterday and if only there were boys at our school that looked like that. Ugh."

"Alex, you need to just take a deeper look at our students. I mean come on, the boys are dressed in uniforms with ties. How cute is that?!" What did I tell you, crazy.

Grayson's POV

It was a late Monday night and Ethan and I were riding our hover boards down the street. Ethan rode up to me, "hey man, when are we going back to that girl's house again?"

I slowed down to stay right next to him, "Thursday, the 13th, why?"

"I woke up this morning not feeling well, hopefully I'll feel better then but I don't want to not go with you because I'm sick." You could hear how scratchy his throat sounded when he talked.

"Nah it's ok man, I totally understand. Take some NyQuil or something before bed tonight." Oops I totally just sounded like my mom.

We rode back to the house and I started to get ready for bed, I have honestly never felt his tired.

As I got into bed I heard a knock at my door, "Good night sweetie" my mom whispered.

"Night mom." She was staying in our guest bedroom and it honestly was kind of sweet of her to still check on me, it felt like the old days when Ethan and I were little and shared a room.
