"Well, that went better than expected *looks at the world burning after trying to bake cake"

I climbed out of bed, and my feet found the cold floor. I looked at the room which is no longer alien to my tired eyes. I looked around the room and then at my phone charging in the draw; just to be safe. It is 5:09. Too early for any human to be awake, but i doubt I'll be able to get back to sleep. I chucked on a pair of bagy track suit bottoms and a tight training top. I put on my hoodie, and was about to jump out the window, it wasn't that high. Only a story, i know how to land so i will be fine. Suddenly the door opened and a sleepy looking 7yr old came in, rubbing his eyes and clutching to a teddy.

"What are you doing?" He asked curiously.

"I was planning to go on a jog, what about you?"

"I had nightmares and couldn't sleep, then i heard noise. I live next door so i came to find out if you were running away like the last one" he said like it was nothing "people run away from here all the time" he shrugged it off. I understood, with that guy as the head care worker who wouldn't.

I turned back to the window, readying myself to jump again but i was stopped by the cute voice "do you play? I'm surprised he let you keep that" the young voice said in awe. I don't have a clue what he means so i look around and see my guitar, in all it glory. "He, erm, didn't" the young boy opened his eyes in shock "you stole it back?! That's awesome!" He started raising his voice. "Sh sh shhh, you'll wake people up!" I whispered putting my hand over his mouth, he seemed to understand and i took off my hand. "How'd you get it back?" He asked. "I umm, don't er know" i said still thinking.

"Hey what's going on in here?" A female voice said. Another answered "i would tell you but today's my day off from being able to look through solid objects. " sarcastically "you are so annoying sometimes!" She replied frustrated. "Only for you sis" i got bored of the bickering and apparently so did the young boy in front of me "are you gonna come in or stand out there forever Johnny and Favour!?" The door pushed open and two kids round my age stood in the doorway looking like rabbits caught in the headlights.

"Harry, what are you doing in here you know Gallows doesn't live here anymore! I'm really sorry if he just walked straight in" she seemed apologetic, "it's fine, i was about to go for a run" they still stood there not getting the hint "...before my room became a commune..." Hinting the point that i wanted them to leave so i could go on my run even further "nope? Ok, erm, I'm gonna go. Feel free not to touch anything, see ya" i waved them off, if i didn't leave soon i wasn't going to have enough time. "I think he wants us to leave" Harry whispered in a not so quiet voice to Johnny and Favour. "Ohhh, yeah sorry, good luck with that" Favour said and turned to leave "can i come?" Johnny asked excitedly "i don't know if you will be able to make it, there's a lot of... Obsticals" i said trying to find the right words, he looked disappointed "but if you can keep up, your welcome to come along" a grin exploded onto his face. "Wait just a sec! Let me get changed!" He darted out and the others laughed and left too. He came back a second later and asked "we going then?" He said pointing to my door, i laughed "boy, you running with me, you running with my rules." With that i dropped from the window and rolled into the landing. I looked up to see a shocked looking Johnny looking down from the window. "Are you mental?" He whisper shouted. "Defiantly. Now get your ass down here before i leave without you." His face paled a little "you want me to jump?!" Again whisper shouting. "No don't be an idiot" i laughed "climb down the drain pipe" he nodded and made his way down. I could see that he's been gaining a little by his ease and movement, but nowhere near i had gotten. Not after what i had to survive. I shivered at the bad memories and noticed Johnny beside me looking up at the window with a stupid smile on his face.

I started running lightly and saw Johnny keeping pace with ease. He started running backwards and done a dramatic yawn. "Too easy?" I asked. He laughed "i could do this in my sleep! This is how you train?!" He mocked. I take that as a hint to go full power and push him to his limits.
