"So first is Potions with Professor Snape the Charms with Flitwick after that we have a break the Transfiguration with McGonagall an lastly it's DADA with Moody." "Seems simple enough. Are the teachers nice?" "Most of them I don't know Moody he's new and Snape err lets just say you want to get on his good side." During Potions, Hermione sits next to Ron and Harry so I make this an opportunity to make some friends. I sit next to a dark haired girl who I don't recognize from breakfast so I presume she's in a different class. "Can I sit here?" "Go for it Americano." "I'm Mary by the way." "Pansy Parkinson." Professor Snape walks in before I say anything else. "Welcome back to Hogwarts. Before we begin I would like to welcome Marie McElroy to Hogwarts. Marie please introduce yourself." I stand up and don't correct him because like Hermione said, I'm going to try to get on his good side. Potions goes by quickly. Snape often yells and Harry and Ron but I'm guessing that's normal because no one really says anything except for Pansy and this blonde boy who are cracking up. After Potions I meet up with Hermione. "Hey, Marie." she says "Very funny, I wanna get on his good side. So any way, that Pansy Parkinson girl, what's she like?" "Oh Pansy, she's a nightmare. She hangs out with Malfoy's group. Malfoy is Harry's enemy. Speak of the devil." The blonde hair boy from Potions walks up I'm guessing he's Malfoy. "Hello Granger. Suprising seeing you without Potter and Weasley." "What do you want Draco." "I'm not here to talk to you. I'm here to talk to her. Hello Marie, I'm Draco Malfoy." "Hey it's um Mary not Marie." "So Marie, I'm here to make you a better offer. I'm sure you don't want to hangout with these dorks all year, so how would you like to hangout with my gang." "No thanks Jerko, I'd rather hangout with Hermione as a matter of fact." "You've made a big mistake Marie." "Love you too, Jerko!" I yell down the hallway. Ron and Harry walk up to us. "Did she just diss Malfoy?" Ron asks. "Yes she burnt him like a pancake." Hermione says trying to act American "She's my new hero, sorry Harry. I'm Ron Weasley by the way." "Hey I'm Mar-" "Yeah Mary McElroy the whole schools talking about you." Harry says "Finally someone got it right" I reply. Harry chuckles. "I'm Harry Potter." "Yeah I kno-" Ron interrupts "Do you mind me asking: are you part Veela?" "Ha ha nope. 100% human." "Well it was nice meeting you guys." I say as we walk into Flitwick's room. "Would you like to sit with us?" Harry asks. "That'd be great!" Once again I get the welcome speech as well as in every other class. The day flies by and it turned out to be a really fun first day. I head up to the dormitory when I hear talking. "She's a little skank. Trying to take Seamus away from
me." "Well you two technically aren't dating." "Well I like him and he obviously like me, I mean who doesn't, so it's close enough right?" "Keep dreaming." I walk in the room and I see it was Lavender and Parvati Patil and they were talking about me. At least Parvati was on my side. "Hey your Parvati right? I'm Mary." "Hey Mary it's nice meeting you. So how do you Hogwarts so far?" "It's been really great everyones so nice." I open my trunk and dig out my pastels and sketch pad. "Wow." Parvati says "That's really good." "Oh thanks I've been drawing since I was little." I finish coloring my drawing an it looks really good. I think I'll send it to Gram tomorrow. I put my stuff away and make sure to put the protection charm in before heading back to the common room.
Seamus POV:
My worst fears have come true. Mary met Harry. I saw them walking down the hall together AND they sat together in Charms. They'd make an adorable couple too. There names rhyme! Girls love that. Mary and Seamus. It sounds ok but it's poo compared to Mary and Harry! My life is over.
Harry POV:
My best dreams have come true. I officially met Mary. We were walking and talking in the hall together AND we sat together in Charms. Were gonna be the best couple at Hogwarts. Our names frickin rhyme! She'll think that's irrestable! My life is amazing.
Mary POV:
Right when I come down the stairs I hear a voice. "Hello Mary." I turn around "Oh hey Seamus." "So um how's your first day been." "Oh it's been amazing! Everyones been so nice and helpful." "So um do you want to sit down?" he asked pointing to the couch. "I'd love to!" Seamus and I sit and talk forever we start laughing and we are laughing so loud that everyone in the room is staring at us. Were down there until everyone else is in bed. I go upstairs an lay in my bed and fall asleep thinking today was the perfect day.
