The next day was a school day. It was fairly cold so I put on a hoodie and sweater that my mother made me and my sisters for Christmas last year. I know she sent me a new one but this one smelt like our old family house.

" Lia, stop scratching at it, I promise that I would go get some catnip for you." I said, packing up my bag.

Louie would go to school with me as usual, but I won't go on a skateboard but I will go on the bike my dad bought me.

Going down the staircase. I felt the cold wooden steps of the staircase, my dad stood at the end.

" Don't freeze to death, okay?" He asked me, handing me my lunch.

I nodded and took the small lunch box. Running out of my door. I found Louie in his winter jacket, standing in front of our lawn.

" Good mornin Isabelle, another day at school." He waved at me.

I kind of missed the moments when we were together. I remember the moments at the park and the moments at his house playing video games. But Nathan and I are the perfect match, we found our spark. But Louie was the guy who I first had my eyes on. Uhh! My life is horrible to me.

We arrive at the school and saw some of our friends at our lockers. Louie's crew, and also Nuela's crew. They were staring at us when we were parking our bikes and going into the corridor from the outside garden.

" Well well well..." Nuela walked towards us, " What do we have here?" She asked us, staring us down.

Louie's face turned red and said, " Her father saw me by her house and thought I was going to freeze so he invited me in and told me to wait for her."

I nodded, good lie Louie.

But Nuela didn't seem interested and she just simply took Louie's arm and led him away.

A few minutes later I saw Nathan walk towards me and he stopped at my locker.

" Hi, how are you?"

" Fine thanks."

Things were chilly between us, but for another few seconds, he hugged me and warmth flushed into my cheeks again.

After all of my lessons, I went to the cafeteria to get some lunch. Today was a short day and school ends after lunch. I saw Kayla and she waved me to them. Then when I sat down, my eye caught Nathan's and smiled.
