Rin's Pov
"I never thought I would get him to sleep" I sighed. I opened the journal Alex gave me.
Journal entry one:
The first thing I remember was being hit by a big object. A man got out of it looking around. His face dropped when he saw me.
"Oh My God! Kid are you ok?" He said running towards me. I didn't feel any pain so I nodded my head. I looked down to see I'm bleeding.
"Oh My God! Your hurt!" The man said picking me up. He was a little surprised,
"how old are you kid?" He asked putting me in his car.
"F-Fifteen sir" I managed to reply. I didn't know how I knew I just did.
"Your extremely light for a fifteen year old" he said to himself. "I'm Mr. West what's your name?" I wasn't sure I should tell him. I didn't know why so I lied.
"Alex" I said. The man could tell I was lying but I don't think he cared. "Well Alex it's nice to meet you. I'm Mr. West :End of Journal entry one
I was shocked. So that's why we couldn't find him in any of the records! Alex wasn't his real name! I run into my fathers study. "Dad!" I say panting a little bit. "Yea kiddo what is it" he says yawning. "I know why we can't find any records of Alex. It's not his real name!"
My father gets a strange face. "I knew you would figure it out" he sighs "I guess it's about time I told you. I've known that Alex wasn't his real name. I had a buddy of mine run his DNA and his real name is Daniel Alexander Cain. He's a missing child."
I couldn't believe it "Why didn't you tell me dad?"
"Because he's been missing since he was a baby" A crash interrupts them. I turn around to see Alex on the ground. "I-Im s-sorry"
Alex stammered trying to stand up. Alex runs to our room and I run after him. "Alex" I say finally catching up to him. Alex looks at me
"He knew!" He sobbed "I can't go back! He'll kill me. He'll..." I cut Alex off by saying,
"Alex I made a promise that he'll never touch you again and I intend to keep it."
My dad grabs Alex's attention by knocking on the door
"Alex" he says calmly "You won't go with this um... Him, but you'll go with your real family."
