"Samantha? Where'd you go? It's not funny anymore!"Cian's voice echoed throughout the wooded area of the park, a hint of worry mixed in with his usual deep tones as he looked around, trying to find where it was exactly that you had hidden.
"Let's play hide and seek! Like we used to!", you suggested earlier.
Cian had rolled his eyes at your idea at first, but after some pleading and light teasing, he gave in. He never was able to say no to you, but he wasn't sure why. He figured that the fact he had liked you since the two of you were young may have something to do with it, but he had liked other girls before, and never had feelings like this.
You sat up in the tree you had just climbed, grinning as you spot Cian standing just below you. Waving your hand with a grin on your lips, you called out to him, getting his attention.
"Cian! I'm up here!"
He snapped his head around to look, shaking his head with a laugh as he noticed where you had been hiding.
"You genuinely had me worrying! Why did you climb a tree?!"
"I wanted to make it challenging, I suppose." You responded as you dangled your feet over the branch.
You grinned again as Cian watched you, carefully situating yourself so that you could hang upside down from the lowest branch. As you did so, Cian raced over to the base of the tree.
"Are you insane?"
You giggled, gently resting your hands on his face, his height being a benefit as your lips lined up with his perfectly while you hung from the branch. Leaning in slowly, you gently pulled his face closer to yours, feeling a connection as your mouths met, and his soft, full lips gently kissing yours. As you pulled away slightly, you noticed a slightly shocked expression on his face, his cheeks turning a deep pink colour as he blinked his big, blue eyes at you.
"Sorry," you started, swinging yourself upwards so you could get down from the tree. "I've wanted to kiss you for a while, and that seemed like the perfect moment to, really," you finished as you regained your footing on the ground in front of him.
He shook his head, smiling shyly at you. Taking two steps closer to you, he leaned in towards your body, pressing his forehead gently to yours. He smiled again, looking down slightly at your face, admiring every part of it. He was in love with you, madly, completely, and totally in love.
"I don't mind that you kissed me at all, you know," he began to speak, his thumb gently running over your bottom lip as he did so.
"I just mind that you stopped, I was enjoying that."
He pulled away from your face slightly, then tilted his head to give you a soft, but passionate kiss on the lips. With butterflies in your stomach, you realised that Cian obviously had feelings for you, but that was fine, because you felt the same way about him.
