"Dean, I really hate you sometimes! You're such a child about things! Grow up!"

"Well you know what, Grace? I may be a child about things, but at least I'm not stubborn like you!"

You shook your head, crying as you finished packing your belongings. You turned to walk out the door, and didn't even care to look back at your boyfriend. The two of you had been fighting with one another constantly, over some of the silliest things – Dean leaving toothpaste in the sink, you complaining at him, his clothes on the bedroom floor. It had gotten to be too much for you, so, you did what anyone would have done in your situation – you left.

A few weeks had gone by since your fight, and you hadn't seen him at all. You heard from a few friends that he had begun seeing another girl, and while the thought of Dean being with someone else killed you, you knew that you needed to move on. You had moved out, found yourself a new flat, and started living your life the way you wanted to. You were determined to prove to yourself that you didn't need Dean in your life to keep you stable. You were independent, and you could do this, with or without him.

Dean, however, was a mess. He hated that he had caused you to leave, and he was lost without you by his side. He had gone from his usual, happy, smiling self to a miserable, quiet, reserved guy, who rarely left his house. He was sure that it was you he had seen last week, talking to another guy, but he wasn't really wanting to walk over to you and cause a scene. He'd hurt you too much already, and he hated himself for it. If you met someone else, it was his own fault for not keeping you closer in the first place.

He had wished that he could go back in time, and instead of screaming and fighting with you, that he'd just run up, and wrapped his arms around you, giving you a cuddle to show that he did love you, and that, even though he didn't show it sometimes, he loved you with all of his heart. It was too late for that now though.

Your best friend had noticed how upset you were, and was desperate to cheer you up. She had arranged for the two of you to go on a girls' day together, just the two of you – shopping, getting your nails done, and going for lunch. You hadn't really felt like going out, but, she insisted, and you knew deep down that you needed to take your mind off of Dean.

As you and your friend sat waiting for your lunch to arrive, you noticed a familiar figure walking by. It was Dean, with his best mate, Cian. Cian had also noticed that something was up with Dean, and he wanted to help. He wanted the old, fun Dean back again.

"Grace?", Dean turned to look at you, surprised to see that you happened to be at the same restaurant as he was.

"Dean, I-", you stopped yourself from continuing, not wanting to be the first to apologise. You were stronger than that, and you didn't want to upset yourself in public.

"Grace, can I talk to you for a moment? Please? I promise, no fighting, or screaming, or shouting, I just want to talk to you."

You looked to your best friend for advice, and when she nodded her head and told you to go have a word with him, you stood up and walked outside. Dean followed behind you, waiting until you both had walked away from the door before he started to talk.

"Grace, honestly, I was horrible to you, and I completely understand why you left me, I would have left too. I-I was wrong to treat you the way that I had, I'm sorry. I just, I didn't realise what I had until it, and you, were gone. I loved you, and I still do, and I loved how I was with you, and how we were together. We were perfect, really. I miss that. I miss waking up next to you, seeing your beautiful face, and getting to run my hands through your hair, cuddling you when you're upset, kissing you. I even missed you moaning at me for not cleaning up after myself. I just...if you've found someone else, I understand, but, if you haven't, could you please give me a second chance?"

You shook your head, not wanting Dean to see that you were crying, before looking down at your feet. You could practically hear Dean's heart breaking as he saw you shaking your head, but finally, you pulled yourself together long enough to look up at him.

"Dean, I-I missed you a lot too, and I want to try again, but don't you have someone else? I mean, everyone had been saying you moved on and were seeing a new girl."

Dean frowned, trying to think of who this new girl you were talking about was. "Grace," he laughed slightly, shaking his head, "that was my cousin. I'm not seeing anyone. If I was able to be seeing someone right now, I wouldn't have just said what I did."

You nodded, knowing that Dean was telling the truth. You sighed, looking up at him, his gorgeous blue eyes lining up with yours.

"Dean, if I give you one more chance, do you swear on your life that we'll work on things and we won't fight anymore? Because the minute we start, I'm leaving. I can't handle anymore big fights."

Dean nodded his head, smiling softly. He leaned in, gently pressing his lips to yours, kissing you passionately as he gently wrapped an arm around your waist. You kissed him back, hesitating slightly before giving him a proper kiss. He smiled as he pulled his lips away from yours.

"So, we're together again?" he asked.

You nodded, unable to stop yourself from smiling as you gently threw your arms around him, giving him a hug.

"I love you, you big weirdo," you grinned at him, gently tapping his nose with your finger. He laughed, shaking his head as he leaned in to kiss your cheek.

"I love you more, beautiful," he replied.

The two of you headed back inside, holding hands and smiling. You noticed that Cian and your friend had found a table big enough for the four of you to sit together at, and Dean, being the gentleman he is, pulled your chair out for you before you sat down. He took the seat beside you, holding your hand underneath the table, and honestly, it felt like you had never left.
