*Hands you hot chocolate*
I woke up and ran to my wardrobe, throwing on all black as usual. I wasn't particularly excited for today, I had science first thing this morning. Literally, I gave up on learning anything in that lesson, I mean come on, when will I need any of this in my life? Plus it's hard to focus when the teachers voice is just as fun as watching paint dry.
I opened the door for Dan, even though I knew he could just go through it anyway. We both exited the house and made our way to school. As its early, the wind is still chilly, and the morning is still slightly dark. It felt nice walking with someone though, usually I would walk by myself.
We reached school after walking for a matter of minutes, and I soon spotted Chris and PJ laughing at a joke or something. They honestly both looked really happy, which was good, considering I knew how much Chris was hurting. Me and Dan slowly approached them, and they turned towards us, still laughing a little.
"What you guys laughing at?" I asked, smiling at Chris and he nodded.
"Pj just told the funniest joke." Chris stated, clutching his chest from laughing too much.
"Tell me it." I requested, I bet you its awful.
"Whats red and bad for your teeth?" Pj snickered, I sighed,
"Whats red and bad for your teeth Pj?" I responded, waiting for the answer.
"Bricks." Pj covered his mouth and I cringed at the awfulness of that joke.
"Pj, no. Just no. That was awful." I shook my head and laughed at his effort.
"That was the point you idiot. It was supposed to be awful. That's why its funny!" Pj explained.
We all shook our heads at him and made our way into the school gates, we all had science first, despite being in different classes. But, I was happier now, Dan could come along with me. And even though we couldn't talk, and other people couldn't see him, it didn't matter, he still made any lesson fun as I could admire his beautiful face.
I sat in my seat, ready for an hour of day dreaming. If I was able to learn in science I would, but I got lost at equations. Like I have no clue why there are numbers and elements and whatever, makes just as much sense as algebra. Which makes no sense at all. We were learning about elements and rocks. I knew about as far as what sedimentary, metamorphic and igneous meant.
"So here we have a dinosaur fossil, what type of rock do you think this is class?" Our teacher asked, scanning the room for hands. I decided to raise my hand so she would think that Im participating in the lesson. "Yes Phil."
"Sedimentary?" I answered like a question, when I was 99% sure that my answer was right.
"Correct well done. Now class, you are going to be observing me do an experiment." She droned on and on. I sighed. "We will have a sample of Chenix Rock, which is is metamorphic, and class make sure you pay attention as Chenix Rock is very rare and the storage room only has a limited amount of it." She explained, and my head shot up.
Chenix Rock. I looked at Dan who's smile was just as big as mine and focused my head toward the board. I was going to get some of that, no matter how much trouble it would take.
"We only need the smallest speck of it as well." Dan cheered and danced around. I looked at him and nodded, some people were looking at me like I was crazy. And now I think about it, I am pretty crazy. For him.
This is the only time that I'm willing to pay attention to a science experiment. Literally, I couldn't express the happiness inside of me right now, but if I could, I would probably run up and down the class, jumping around and dancing. She added some sort of acid to the Rock, which was sitting in a beaker, and it started to produce bubbles that were a faint green colour. This rock was now holding my life, that's how much this means to me.
