Hey guys I just need to mention that there is a P.O.V swap, and there is fluff like loads and loads so be prepared, its going to be a cute fluffy chapter. Prepare yourselves <3 I should also probably mention that this is the final chapter... I made it special though <3
I rushed out of school, the day was finally over and I could return home. I had waited for Dan, but he didn't show up, which was pretty out of the ordinary. I decided that I should text him, I was glad that I finally found use for my hold phone. He might as well have had it, instead of it being in the bottom on my drawer, well, he could keep it until we figure something out. Hopefully he is okay.
Dan's P.O.V
My phone buzzed. It was Phil. It felt weird using Phil's old phone, or let alone a phone at all.
Where are you? X
I quickly responded with a lie, he is definitely not aloud to know what I'm doing.
I'm at your house I wanted to get home quicker, I felt ill. X
Oh okay. I guess I will see you there. X
I put my phone away, into my pocket. I wasn't at his house. In fact I was in the woods, alone. Nobody was there, just me. I wanted to show Phil a surprise, I've never showed anyone this place before, and Phil deserves to see.
Phil's P.O.V
I got home, it was dark. Winter makes all days short and all nights long. I opened the door and all of the lights were off. That's weird, Dan wasn't here. Why did he lie to me? I walked to the kitchen to double check. I didn't find Dan, but I found something. It was a note;
'You have probably noticed that I lied to you, I'm not here. But, I need you to meet me, in the woods. I stuck arrows to all of the trees to lead you to me, and I left a torch next to this note. I need to show you something.'
I grabbed the torch, my mind pondered into all of the things he could possibly want to show me. Then I slapped myself for my dirty mind. I put on a different jacket, a black one, and zipped it up. I checked my hair in the mirror, and adjusted my fringe. Quickly, I rushed to the door, opening it with no hesitation, and rushed my way to the forest.
After 5 minutes, I finally reached the forest, and saw an luminous yellow arrow, signalling me to turn left. That's weird, I thought that there was nothing down that way.
Another minute of walking in that direction, and I see another arrow, telling me to turn right. How many arrows do I have to walk through to see my angel?
I found the last remaining arrow, which just point ahead. My mind jumped deeper into what he could show me. Along the floor, I began to see candles, each in a different coloured holders, making the floor light up rainbow circles. That meant I no longer needed my torch...
His eyes held the reflection of the flickering candlelight, and his smile was visible. He makes my heart flip over again and again. I ran up to him with open arms.
I buried my face into his chest, his scent was sweet, and smelt exactly like vanilla. He rested his head on top of mine, I smiled into his chest. Sometimes I wonder how someone like that, could like someone awkward and annoying like me. Hesitantly, I decided to pull away;
"So what did you want to show me?" I asked, staring into his glittering eyes.
"Follow me, gorgeous." He said, he called me gorgeous like its my name. I blushed. He held my hand and began to lead the way.
His hands were so delicate and soft, I could hold them all day. We were now walking toward the darkness, which soon turned to light.
The sight that stood before me was beautiful. I was speechless, and a little taken aback.
Dan had led me to a place, a place so beautiful. A water fall, that twinkled from the moonlight. A river that the waterfall flowed into, which flowed slowly, and made soothing noises. The grass was long, but not too long, and was dark green in colour. The thing that topped it off was Dan, standing in front of the waterfall, the moonlight dancing in his eyes, but him, just standing there.
He ran up to me, and crashed his lips into mine. Kissing under the light of a thousand shining stars, was something simply unforgettable. The kiss was slow, and full of love, full of lust. His lips were soft. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me. We pulled away from the kiss, and nuzzled our noses together, I closed my eyes and embraced the moment.
Dan walked away, and sat on a blanket that he had placed on the floor. He had made a picnic! He really had thought of everything. I joined him, at our picnic under the stars. He opened the thatched basket, and pulled out all different typed of sandwiches, and a variety of drinks and chocolate.
"How did you get this all here Dan?" I asked out of curiosity.
"Magic." He smirked. I kissed his cheek.
"What was that for?" Dan giggled.
"Just you being you." I smiled.
We finished all of the food rather quickly, and I was pretty stuffed. He laid down, patting and rubbing his stomach.
I joined him, and laid down, holding his hand, stroking the back of his hand with my thumb. Stars glistened, and the moon was our only source of light. I rested my head on his chest, and listened to his heart beat. It was soothing, and calming. The fact that he was alive, and I helped him. The fact that he was mine. My life is complete.
"I love you Dan." I whispered.
"I love you too Philly." He replied, and a smile tiptoed across my face at the nickname.
"I really don't understand how you can love someone like me, and how someone as perfect as you could love someone as weird as me, I mean come on, I was a ghost." He said, squeezing my hand gently.
"How could I love someone like you? Are you serious? Literally, you are the sweetest and most generous person I know. That's why I love you silly, and the fact that you care for me, the fact that you have never left my side." I explained to him, it was the truth.
"But I was a ghost Phil..." He sighed.
"But you were my ghost." I whispered.
Fini.
An- And that is the end, Ghost is finished. It was a good book to write, and I really hope that you guys enjoyed it.
