Heart break.

Rayan

It was one of those nights again. The nights Rayan couldn't ignore. His feelings were out of control and the pain started to come back to him like all those tragic events had happened just a day ago. No one was there for him and he realized it. For the first time. His "friends" were there when he got high, when he was getting drunk, or when he was about to get lucky with a girl. They weren't there when he needed them most. It was 12 at night. He called everyone he could but they didn't answer. They would have answered if he said he had some weed though. He rolled his eyes at how pathetic his friends were.

But what Rayan didn't know was that his new friends had no idea about his past. They don't know about Nicole. They didn't know that Chres took her away from him. They knew none of that! Partly it's Rayon's fault he didn't tell them. If they knew they'd be there for him, Rayon just never took the time to tell anybody.

He thought that by starting over, leaving the past behind and having a new personality would make him forget but it doesn't. He knows in his heart that he missed his mother dearly without a doubt. He misses Nicole because he always knew Chresanto would get her in trouble.

Taking a big gulp of Jack Daniels, he closed his eyes trying to drink so much that he would pass out. 30 minutes later, he started to get impatient.

Pacing around the room he went, having way too much on his mind.

He picked up his phone looking for contacts in the J's , finally he reached Jacob's name. Jacob didn't answer so he hung up.

"Shit." Rayansaid lowly.

He thought to himself, Nobody cares about me, so why should I continue to live in a world where everyone gives not one fuck about me'.

He finished the third bottle of Vodka, along with a jack Daniels shot. Then patron. He went all out, and drank more than he could contain. Laying on his couch his eyes started to water and he started to get really dizzy. His body felt weak and his temperature was going up and down causing him to have chills. Before he knew it, he had passed out.

"Jacob." Nicole whispers.

"Yeah?"

"Where exactly are you taking me.?"

"Oh to this condo I'm staying in. My and my friend decided to take a trip out here. We're from Atlanta." Jacob rants.

"Oh. Okay I just wanted to thank you for saving me back there. "

"No problem."

The car ride was silent with the music turned down low.

It wasn't awkward though. It was calming. Nicole was so happy to finally get away from Chresanto she had no idea what to do. She just kept smiling thinking of all the plans she would make. Although, she had no idea her happiness was going to be wiped away in just a couple of seconds.

Jacob parked the car in the front, unbuckled his seat belt and got out the BMW .

As soon as he got out, he opened the door for Nicole and she politely said thank you.

When they walked up to the condo Nicole explained how bad it was living with Chres. Jacob felt sorry for her and offered her a place to crash.

"I look horrible. " Nicole says with a chuckle.

"No you don't. I can still see your beauty through your bruises and scars." Jacob says moving a piece if her hair out of her face.

"That's one of the sweetest things I've ever heard." Nicole replies.

Jacob then flashed his perfect smile.

He turned the key and opened the door. The lights were still on so no one was sleeping.

"RAY, IM HOMEEEEE."

That name made Nicole's heart shudder. Her heart beat accelerated in speed out of nervousness.

"nigga where the fuck are you?" Jacob says to himself.

They turned the corner and there he was. Rayan Sleeping heavenly on the couch. Tears then streamed down Nicole's face when she saw him.

Jacob tried to wake him up but he wasn't waking up. His heart beat was really slow and he was barely breathing.

"H-he's not breathing." Jacob says with disbelief.

His back was turned so he didn't see Nicole having an anxiety attack. Her eyes were going all around the room. She then spotted all the empty bottles of liquor. She broke down in tears. She had no idea he would end up like this at all.

"Can you come try to see if he's breathing I need to call 911" Jacob says worried.

"N-n-no . I'll c-call. "

Nicole wouldn't want to touch him if he was going to end up dead.

That night all three ended up in the hospital worried to death.

Especially Nicole. She couldn't believe after years she would see him again. She hoped she'd see him again but not now. She was a drug addict, and had an abusive boyfriend. The bruises showed. The loss of weight was extreme. Nicole felt that if Ray saw her he'd look at her in shame and move on.

Next Morning.-

Nicole ended up waking in Jacobs arms, cuddled by him. She was laying on his chest calm and everything.

"Morning." Jacob says.

"Morning" she says with a raspy voice.

"You woke up in the middle of the night shaking and crying so I held you to keep you from shuddering." Jacob says.

"Thank you." Nicole says.

"Why were you crying so bad?" Jacob asked.

"No reason."

"There's gotta be a reason." Jacob says.

"No."

"Yes. Tell me."

Although she didn't want to tell him he had no choice.

"I've known Ray. For quite some time."

"Ohhhhhhh. You were his girl friend or something?"

"No." Nicole lied.

"Just friends.."

"Yeah. That's all."

"We'll the doctor came in, Ray's doing better so he'll wake up" Jacob says

Minutes later Rayan woke up in confusion.

"Jacob, who's this?" Ray says.

"Hi, um I'm Kaylyn. " Nicole says.

She didn't want him to remember her because she looked horrid. Plus, toNicole it seems like he has already forgotten.

"Jacob lets go check out." Nicole says.

He said nothing, he just followed.

Once they got out of the room, Nicole pulled Jacob to the side to talk to him.

"I know I lied. I just don't want him to remember me. Lets just act as if Nicole doesn't exist anymore... Please Jacob? Just don't tell him." Nicole pleads.

"You secret is safe with me." Jacob says.
