Doug Ennis was actually an imaginary character created as part of a family of paper dolls several years before Sauletris was born. The original Doug was a thirteen-year-old sports lover and Phillies fan, with an entourage of "girlfriends", most of whom were several years older than him. His dad, Jay Ennis, was the U.S. President, a fact which was adapted into the Sauletris version of Jay Ennis (a.k.a. President Ulrich Mahasula).
