"Wake up," I heard someone say from next to me.
My eyes shot open and my gaze drifted to my left. I saw Autumn with a large grin on her face. I groaned and turned away from her. I snuggled into my pillow and closed my eyes again.
"You need to wake up," she commanded in an annoyed tone.
I groaned in response.
Autumn let out a frustrated sigh and in one swift motion she pulled the warm blankets off of my body. I let out a small whimper as I tightened my grip around the pillow.
I heard someone snicker from my right and my eyes opened only to see Jacob. My eyes immediately widened and I sat up in my bed.
My face turned red as I tried to cover my underwear with the pillow. I never slept with pants on so saying I was embarrassed was an understatement. Jacob was laughing as I yelled, "GET OUT OF HERE YOU PERVERT!"
I threw the pillow at him and he looked up to catch it. When he wasn't paying attention I stood up and jumped in the air. I spun around and kicked him in the face. He let out a loud grunt as he fell to the floor.
"What was that for," he whined as he rubbed his red cheek.
"For being a pervert and laughing at me."
He held up his hands and said, "If it means anything I still think you look sexy."
I opened my mouth in dismay and from behind me I heard Autumn clear her throat.
She walked over to him and wrapped her hands in the collar of his shirt. She pulled him up and leaned down. She began to whisper in his ear. His eyes widened and a look of pure horror crossed his face. She leaned back and kissed his forehead. He stood up and was about to walk out of the room but ran into the door before actually leaving.
"What did you say to him," I asked curiously as Autumn shut the door behind him.
She jumped onto my bed and laid down. "Nothing you need to concern yourself with."
"Okay..."
"You should really start locking your window."
"Why? You would probably just brake it anyway," I said through a chuckle.
"That's true, but it looks like someone already has. Anyway you need to get dressed and wear something comfy because it's a long ass drive to get to Michigan."
I groaned and after a few minutes I managed to get dressed. I put on a pair of jean shorts and a white, cotton shirt. I slipped into a pair of red flip flops that I kept by my bedroom door. I grabbed a small backpack from my closet and went outside into the living room.
Markus and Jacob were standing by the front door while Lillian sat on the couch reading a book. Markus was holding the suitcase I had left.
He raised his fist and exclaimed, "Finally she's awake!"
I stuck my tongue out and went to the kitchen. I packed a few snacks and some water bottles into my bag before making my way to the bathroom. I packed my toothbrush and other things that I would need. I went back into the living room and was happy to see how excited everyone was.
"I can't wait to get a tan," Lillian said in her soft voice.
Autumn squealed and said, "Same!"
"I can't wait to look all golden and beautiful," Jacob said while mimicking Autumn's voice.
"Dumb ass," I heard Lillian snicker. Sometimes I forgot that they were step siblings. I don't know how she could put up with him for more than ten minutes. But luckily I get to spend my whole day stuck in a car with him... yay.
