Chapter 7: Bloom

As we left the cabin we heard cackling laughter. Insane laughter.

"You can run! But you can't hide!"

I looked back at her.

"Watch me!"

We ran out as fast as we could and just as we thought we lost her she pulled out the big guns.

"My babies!" She yelled.

Flying, headless, creatures flung towards us.

"We need to split up!"  I yelled.

They all stared at me in disbelief.

"Why would we do that?" Titanius retaliated.

"To stay alive!"

Titanius grunted in disproval while Footie nodded in agreement. Rose then voiced his opinion.

"I don't want to be alone, again guys!"

"Rose, I'm sorry but we either live alone or die together." I looked straight ahead. "We all have a reason to be here right now. And it's not to make friends." I saw Rose look down at his running feet.

"We're the Dream Catchers! We will kill Bill Cipher!"

He wiped his eyes. "Okay."

"Can you give me the gem?" He tossed the whole bag at me.

"Thanks, Rose."

"No problem..."

I exhaled in a dramatic sigh. "Rose you can come with me."

"Really!"

I nodded. "Let's all split up in groups to ensure maximum safety."

They seemed to have liked that idea much more than the original one.

Rose and I, and Titanius and Footie. Those were the groups.

We all ran separate ways into the forest. We had no idea where that would take us. I decided to go where there seemed to be a decent amount of light, I can't see well in the dark after all.

I moved branches out of my way and we kept going forward. After a while of silence Rose spoke up.

"How do you think Ira is doing?"

"You mean, Tits?"

"... Yes."

"He's a tough sugar puff."

"I hope that's not a bluff."

After at least 30 minutes we exited the forest. We saw another broken down building with the letters falling off the sides. I think.

"Mystery Hack?"

"I think they meant shack."

"Oh." He rubbed his head in embarrassment.

We saw humans exiting the building.

"Look there are humans here!" Rose yelled excitedly.

"Hide! Quick!"

"Why?"

"Hide!"

He scurried into a bush where he blended quite well in and I jumped in after.

We saw a girl with metal in her teeth and brown hair on her head run out.

"I hope you had a grreeeaaaat day, sir!"

The random kid she was talking to looked as confused as I was.

"Um... I have to go? Bye?" He said looking around for escape.

"Bye! Bye! Adios!"

The boy then ran away with a horrified expression on his face.

We peaked through the bushes. Rose squinted his eyes. "Do you think we can take them?"

"Rose, we don't have to fight them."

"Hmm..."

"Hi what's your name?"

I looked up and saw the same brown-haired girl from before.

I stood up. "Jigs up, Rose."

"You're name's rose? That fabulous!"

"(Y/N)!" Rose shouted irritated.

"And you're, (Y/n)? That's also fabulous!"

"Great." I sighed.

"Why don't you come in?"
